It really does depend on who's cooking, when you order because every time I order, the food is different. Monday, the wings were perfect, onion rings correctly fried, & the large stromboli was to die for. They really need to include bleu cheese & celery for every 10 pc wings because 1 tiny container, for 30 wings, is a gross under statement. Also, the same applies, when ordering the large stromboli as these easily feeds 4-6 ppl.
The place looks in the rough from the outside but inside it's very nice and cozy. Downstairs has a few tables and it's where they make their pizza. The upstairs has a small bar and maybe 12 tables. We first tried this place over the summer when our dinner plans fell through at another restaurant in the area so we decided to try Appletree instead. That night we both had the fish and chips, which we both enjoyed. This time however.....I had the chicken tender basket and my husband had the chicken ceasar wrap. My chicken tenders were slightly dry and the fries were absolutely tasteless. My husband thought his wrap was just OK. The jalapeno poppers we had as an appetizer were the smallest I ever saw. They don't have a very large menu but there's enough of a variety so satisfy most people. They also have different specials available as well. Prices are about average and the service both times was very good. On our second visit, the waitress was extremely friendly and always checking on us.I will say that they have one of the best broccoli pizzas we've ever had. On both our visits we took a pie home. Delicious! Just enough garlic without being overpowering and they don't skimp on the amount of broccoli on the pie.I doubt we would go for dinner again but if we were in the area, we would definitely take home the broccoli pizza.

We love coming here for the 3 meat sampler; it comes with brisket, pulled pork, and a few ribs. It comes with 3 sides and its more than enough for me and my fiancé to split with some to spare. If you go on a Thursday be sure to get their "smoke bomb" which is a fully loaded backed potato with their signature smoke house seasoning and cheese sauce...its to die for!!! a definite must if you're in the area.

My husband and I went to the Pittston Diner because we were going to be in the neighborhood and read the good reviews that other people had posted. Our waitress was super nice and helped us with our choices. They have daily specials, senior discounts, and homemade soups and desserts. My husband had Porketta on Ciabatta bread with french fries while I had the Lemon Chicken Soup and a crab cake sandwich. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The desserts sounded delicious but we were full. We did take a piece of the Lemon Lush home to enjoy later. It was very good. The prices were reasonable, about $22 for both of us. We'd return for another meal.

Recently underwent some much-needed interior renovations with seating in classic diner car or dining room. Their claim-to-fame is that president Obama stopped in when he was campaigning. They still have the old/original bar stool at the counter (in the midst of all new stools) where he sat. Food is good. Service is average. But when a person asks for no cheese on a sandwich and asks the waitress if she can SUBSTITUTE a slice of raw onion and the waitress replies "Yes", they should not charge an extra 30 cents. When we got the bill and I questioned the waitress (it was the principle), she said "Oh, they never allow substitutes and always make us charge for anything extra that is not listed on the menu". Very poor management practice!

This restaurant has a seating free appetizer of baked herb bread chunks with a type of hummus dip. Starts your meal off right. Menu has a nice variety of choices. The staff is very friendly and are constantly checking that you are satisfied. Recommend this restaurant.

Overall everything was great from the lobster bisque to the sea bass and lamb chops. Only one glass of wine for the wife and a shared piece of cheesecake, the biggest piece Iâve ever seen. Quality=above average pricing at the casino. Service was excellent. Canât go every week but once in a while a nice splurge.

The restaurant is clean and remodeled. The wait staff very friendly. The food is good and very reasonably priced. We had gnocchi (that were homemade) and the strip steak special. Lemon lush for dessert. So good. When you want a good homemade meal for a great price stop by.

I heard about Grico's private rooms and wanted to check it out for my birthday. We went and had a lot of fun. It's very private and intimate - something I liked a lot. The food was excellent, easily one of the best steaks I've had anywhere in Northeastern PA. I definitely plan on coming back. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
