An impromptu choice for breakfast. Really friendly, good atmosphere. The food was plentiful, good quality and came with typical American service standards. Really interesting for a Brit to talk to some of the customers and owner over food about everyday American life as well.

OMG. BEST MEAL EVER. We were staying in nearby Lemon Cove for a night after a trip to Sequoia National Park and our innkeeper recommended Lafayette. After a week of eating high-sat, high-fat American food, having dinner here was an absolute godsend. My partner has the lamb rack and I had the fish - both dishes blew our minds. Service was also incredible. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

Exeter is in the middle of the farmland and the selection is not gigantic, luckily we found this deli just inside the city border.Exceptionally large menu that really reflects the name of the restaurant. 07.00 am. however, interested in traditional breakfast. Home cooking style and classic American breakfast, far from Los Angeles novelties.

I'll keep this simple. I live and work in Exeter. I eat at Pete's at least three times every week. Everything is good. The speed is often surprising given it is always freshly cooked (just a few feet away.) The quality is always good. The place is fairly small and fills up at noon - time your lunch visit a bit early or a bit late. Want to try my "usual"?Full California Chicken sandwich - add grilled jalapeño.
Not very friendly. She acted like I was bothering her by placing my order. We had family staying at the motel across the street. Ordered breakfast and then went back for lunch. Never again.
