My husband and I had early dinners at the Vermont Tap House in Williston, Vermont on Wednesday, August 21st and Thursday, August 22nd, while we were staying in South Burlington. We enjoyed the steak and cheese sandwich, which was huge, the wood fire pizza, and the Green Mountain Salad, which was very fresh with Vermont grown ingredients. Everything was nicely prepared with generous servings. The selection of beers was also very good. . , The service was also quite good and the seating was comfortable in nice booths. In addition, there was free parking convenient to the restaurant. We found this restaurant a good alternative to dining in Burlington, where you have to pay to park and there may be heavier traffic. We recommend this restaurant for a variety of different entrees and would go back again.

This was our third cooking class at the Essex â and the best. We took the âTaste of Franceâ class taught by Chef Lisa Ruoff. She was a great instructor and was open to questions and very helpful. We learned new things, and better ways of doing old things (like dicing an onion). Our group had so much fun practicing on the onions, we diced what we were supposed to slice (but it all turned out wonderful anyway). Our class was made up of six different groups of two, but we all worked together wonderfully. Chef Lisa was concerned about allergies and special diets (gluten free, vegetarian, etc.) which was nice. My husband and I didnât think we liked duck, but the Duck A l Orange that we cooked was delicious. I will make the Ratatouille and the Potato Lyonnais at home (but with less butter!)Chef Lisa made our class very enjoyable â I highly recommend taking any of the classes that she offers. She was assisted by a very lovely young lady named Evelyn. They made it a wonderful experience for everyone.

Visited Ray's recently, first time in a couple years. I should have known better than to visit on a Friday night. The die-hard Friday no-meat crowd was out in force. Because there were no tables open, we ordered our food for take out. They estimated a 30 minute wait, but it was more like 45. Just for fried scallops and onion rings!!! Come on, really? The food was delicious, as usual, but why did it need to take sooooo long? I didn't plan to do take out, otherwise I'd have called in my order. Prices seem on the high side of fair for what you get, but after this insane wait, I'm less likely to give Ray's my business again soon.

Family dining or takeout service. Breakfast served all day. Comfortable seating and quick service. Lunch serve at 11:00 AM.
I have heard so much about how great the food is here, so I finally went for breakfast and was incredibly disappointed. The food came quickly, but was not great. The bacon was cooked poorly, the sausage tasted frozen, definitely not fresh or maybe just cooked poorly, and the omelette was somehow overcooked. The servers were not very friendly, definitely not what I'm used to in Essex restaurants.

This is a great place for lunch -- lots of soup, salad, and sandwich options (not to mention pastries!). We had a 10-month old granddaughter in tow and they accommodated our special request for avocado toast with aplomb! Warm, friendly, casual dining at its best.

The tavern is a lively place for good food and music, great beer flights & Bourbon selection. Plus they have Heady Topper IPA which is hard to get further south

Firebird has been an established restaurant for many years. The food is quick and casual. One orders at the counter and the meal is brought to your table. It's been a long while since I dined there because my daughter had worked there years back, so I had knowledge about the questionable food prep standards. This time I ordered huevos rancheros. I confirmed with the gal that it came with poached eggs, yet it arrived as over-easy. The meal was good, but swatting flies was not. I ate with my right hand and swatted with my left. There is possible good news, as this restaurant moving to a new location at Five Corners, about 1.5 miles east on Rte. 15. FYI, this owner owns The Nest coffee shop at Five Corners as well. I have not been there, for obvious reasons. See my photo of the Huevos Rancheros.

We go out of our way to get the sandwiches from Martone's. For almost 20 years we have gone there and they do a great job of always making a great sandwich.

Breakfast at this restaurant topped off a great week long vacation in Quebec. I had the quinoa bowl - fresh and delicious. I asked for jam for my toast and waitress brought a small bowl of delicious jam made from a blackberry from Oregon; a delicious detail. If you like real food, you will enjoy this restaurant.Hello VCF-Chicago, so happy that you enjoyed your meal at Pauline's!
