Now serving breakfast Saturday - Sunday 8 AM - 12 PM! With an emphasis on classic American Steakhouse cuisine, CHOP is Door County's First Choice for great steak and seafood. CHOP is a great place to eat, combining an intriguing atmosphere with excellent,
Chop does an amazing job procuring outstanding meat and seafood. We have never been disappointed. The only complaint would be the inability to cook steaks to the desired level of âdonenessâ. Ordered a medium rare rib eye the other night and got medium well. Not worth sending back because the steak quality was outstanding. But be careful and specific when ordering. And of course the appetizer bread is to die for lol.

We are a family owned and operated fresh new restaurant with, not only great wood-fired pizzas, salads, sandwiches and burgers, but also a new attitude toward giving to their community, using sustainable products and creating an affordable restaurant usin
We ate at this restaurant twice on a recent visit to Door County. The pizza was truly excellent, amongst the best we've ever had. The small size pizza was plenty to eat for the two of us. The crust was very good and the ingredients tasted fresh. Going to rate it at 5 stars, although we did have two quibbles. One, the people making the pizza didn't wear gloves. We were there close to an hour and never saw them wash their hands. Two, the metal chairs were terribly uncomfortable. They were something that one had to endure in order to enjoy the wonderful food.

Great burgers, sandwiches, salads, homemade breakfast, desserts, and local beer and wine selection. Our focus is on homemade, fresh foods utilizing Wisconsin products. Lots of vegetarian options! Jimmy and Jessica Grasse
We stopped for breakfast and it was amazing! I ordered the vegetable bowl which was comprised of scrambled eggs over hash brown potatoes. It was all topped with sautéed spinach, tomatoes and onion with a pinch of balsamic and feta cheese. My husband ordered a dish of tator tots covered with gravy and eggs to order. There were so many combinations to choose from.

Farmstead Cheesery and Eatery. We make cheese and gelato right here at the store from our farms milk. Here you are able to sample and watch how all our handmade farmstead products are made. Artisan Sandwiches, Salads, Soups, Cheeses, Meats, Beers, Cheese
Sample and then choose goat milk cheeses like chèvre with smoked whitefish or farmhouse brick to take home! The baguette sold here is very good. The gelato is notably better than at other establishments and interestingly, is made from goat milk. This is a European-style place that is great for getting classy picnic ingredients, a meal, or desserts (baked goods in addition to gelato).

The Viking Grill in Ellision Bay features affordable family favorites and our world-famous Viking Fish Boil! Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our buttermilk pancakes are light and fluffy, but our biggest secret is our outstanding Swedish pancakes (served
For those who've seen the movie "Feed the Fish," you've also seen the Viking Grill. A great little movie and a great little restaurant. On separate occasions we've had the broasted chicken, the fried perch, and the broiled whitefish. All were delicious. Depending on when you dine at this family-run spot, you'll either receive grandma's potato salad or auntie's potato salad. My preference is auntie's which is a bit less sweet. Both, however, were tasty. My one complaint: Their homey little bar should know better than to serve a Manhattan with olives. Olives??Despite this faux pas, a stay in Door County isn't complete without at least one meal at The Viking Grill. (Just order a brandy Old Fashioned or a good Wisconsin beer.)

We wanted to try this place because it wasn't just a plate with fish/potatoes/onion/small coleslaw/and cherry pie----thats what others do--this is a buffet---many more selections and it's all you can eat--and it was the same price--$24.It starts with a story teller--which was nice but went on a little to long. And you get to see the campfire and fish boil over

Waterfront offers lots of dining options, all quite good. If you're into small plates and sharing, there are plenty of good tapas-like options to make that work. We particularly enjoyed the thai beef and a special option -- great flavors. Entrees are excellent as well; the duck agnolotti was terrific, and the lake perch was equally great. (Yes, we essentially stuffed ourselves. It was worth it.) A surprisingly large wine list, all of which was reasonably well priced, and great service to boot. And depending on when you dine and the time of year, the sunset over the bay is hard to beat (though it can be a little crowded then). This would be a gem of a restaurant in an unban area; finding it in Sister Bay was an added treat. One note -- it's easy to miss it when driving, as the signage isn't particularly conspicuous, so GPS is a good idea. In any event, we highly recommend Waterfront.

We came here for dinner one evening as it was close to our motel. The waitstaff was attentive on a busy weekday evening, the food was great, and it was being enjoyed by many families. My husband and I had soup with our meal and both kinds we tried were wonderful. I would recommend this as a stop if you are in the area.We loved hosting you and your husband, Sandy! It's always nice when you stumble upon a great local establishment while you're traveling. We'll see you the next time you're in the area again!Until then,Linden Ray, Owner

Spent a week at Door County, hiking, birding. We were based on Sturgeon Bay and did day trips around the county. Our last dinner was at The Shoreline; no reservation; walk in and waited about 10 minutes. The place has some great views if you get a table next to the windows - is a good sunset place. The service was great, and the food very good Definitely a place for a nice dinner in the county In terms of prices is more leaning toward fine dining

We went to the Wickman House last night. We went without a reservation - not recommended but we got lucky. We had a few cocktails, which were outstanding, while we waited. We had a dozen oysters - a mix of everything they had and they were outstanding - as good as I have ever had. My wife had a seafood platter that was not on the menu. King crab legs, Opilio legs, mussels, awesome sweet corn and more. This plate was huge, enough for two, but we were hungry. I ordered a steak frite but they had already served the last portion of hanger steak. The chef suggested a ribeye. I went with the suggestion and it was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, per1sonable and very knowledgable. He was as impressive as any other part of our experience. I highly recommend the Wickman House and suggest you make a reservation.
