Things to do in Elkhorn
Great little family restaurant with huge menu breakfast all day and great daily specials. I was very impressed considering they had only been open a couple of weeks
Our story began in 1972 when two Cousins, Bill Specht and Jim Sheppard, set out to bring their favorite style of sub sandwich from the East Coast to their new hometown of Milwaukee, Wis. Staying true to our foundersâ legacy of Better Bread. Better Subs.,
There are two kids of Cousins Subs, the originals that have grills and fries, and the second generation that uses micro waves and no fries. This is why it is worth driving to Elkhorn, they have the grill and fries which makes this sandwich the absolute BEST. Their original Italian bread has just the right amount of crust to keep the sandwich together, yet is is soft and fresh on the inside. I recommend having them add mayo as it makes the lettuce and tomato have a much better flavor and it also enhances the steak flavor making this cheese-steak sandwich so good it is hard not ordering another even though you are already full. Then there is the fries... These fries are actually very good. The only thing that could make them better is the fresh cut, but like Micky Dee's, these are very VERY good. For those of you who are more diet conscious, they do have lite subs and sandwiches and of course baked & regular chips available, but this review is all about the cheese-steak as that my friends is why Cousins in Elkhorn is worth the trip!

We enjoyed ourselves at this cozy bar downtown Elkhorn. The menu wasn't huge, but there was a decent selection. Our table ordered appetizers, burgers, and pizza and everyone was impressed with the food. They seemed to have a large beer selection, too. Having to go down a full flight of stairs to get to the place seemed odd, but the fun atmosphere down there made up for it!

This place was closed for many years & it doesn't appear that they gave it an all over cleaning before they re-opened. Even after a year of being open, the place looks & smells unclean. The staff was okay, but not very welcoming. We ate & ran & will not be back!

Came in off the interstate for lunch with a church group of 17 and everyone was very pleased. Large variety of food. Prices were reasonable.

Probably not the healthest but sometimes you just need a really good burger and fries. Round that out with a malt, the sundaes are also a good choice.

We offer two different dining environments. Sperino's Pepperoni Pub is a more relaxed, casual environment amongst 5 TVs, jukebox, and dart board. Sperino's Little Italy consists of a more service orientated dining experience with original sicilian style d
In a nutshell, I've had pizza that was twice as good for half the price at other places in Elkhorn. I've been eating Sperino's pizza a couple times a year over the last 20 years and I've noticed the quality of the pizza going down while the prices are going up. We had a $30 pizza with not much sauce or cheese. This is the second one in a row in recent memory where I was disappointed. Unfortunately, my family will not eat here again.Hi Eric, we would like to apologize for the lack of quality in your recent visits. We are disappointed to learn of these experiences. We strive for perfection, and unfortunately we have come up short. Please give Cory a call at 262-723-2222 to give Sperino's an opportunity to make this right. Thank you for your review.

We decided to try the Elk after an appointment in the area. We found this restaurant to be a bit pricey compared to many other area establishments with similar menus. They do not have sausage links, only patties which my wife does not like. Their idea of 'American Fries' is small cubes done in the deep fryer. These are NOT American Fries, but mini French Fries. YUCK. Their hash browns are good, but I prefer real American Fries. We like other restaurants in the general area better for breakfast.

Let me get this out of the way... best black bean soup ever.Wonderful post golf lunch, although most of the table had Benedict's of one flavor or another and raved (the poach looked perfect). I went with a spicy Mac n' Cheese and was quite happy, but the true hit was the black bean soup. The soup tasted like it had been simmering overnight. I going with soup next time, even if the bean isn't available.

This is in the quaint town of Elkhorn
After spending time at the DMV my wife and decided to lunch in Elkhorn and chose here based upon reviews. We were not disappointed. Despite being unusually busy for a Monday a fast moving hostess seated those waiting as quickly as possible. We were waited on promptly and served quickly. We both chose the pot pie. Perfectly crispy crust and the right balance of meat and vegetables. The pot pies come with salad or soup. Their homemade dressings are also very delicious.
