This is a traditional Mexican family-owned restaurant that has been in business for many years. However, they have a Polish grandma and she puts on a special Polish menu once in the spring and once in the fall. It's fabulous! Borscht, stuffed cabbage, keilbasa, kishka, and three types of pierogi. It was all delicious and tasted just like my busha's!! Watch their Facebook page for the date for Polish night this fall.

Enjoy a special dining experience at Riverwalk Grill & Taproom. You'll be glad to know that our restaurant is on a lake where boats can come and dock. You can choose to dine on the water.
The inside of this restaurant is very cool. Large bar area, lots of seating options. Nice outdoor deck and bar. Hard to choose just one item on the menu - so many nice options. Really nice beer and wine menu. I would absolutely go back.

We stopped in Elk Rapids after church for brunch on our way to a Traverse Symphony concert. The restaurant closes at 1:00 p.m. on Sundays and does not have wi-fi available. Bacon and eggs was OK but not exceptional. Service was quite good.

This bar is located in the very nice town of Elk Rapids. It is a typical bar with bar food. The Gyro's were very good. They have a pool table in the back. Long bar with a number of tables. It is really the only bar in town. We wanted to watch the Tigers game. The bartender was not the best. Sat at the bar and had to ask a couple of times for another drink. We could not understand why the Tiger game was not on. They were playing some far away football game. We asked if he could put the Tigers game on one TV. I guess too much trouble for the bartender. We left early.

Enjoy a glass of wine at our bar or on the waterside deck. Or allow one of our experts to help you select the perfect bottle to take home. You'll love our homemade, gourmet items - ready to enjoy in-house or to take with you.
They have an excellent selection of wine and beer. Relaxed atmosphere with a nice deck. The meat and cheese tray is a nice selection but you should realize it will never be the same as the previous time you ordered it. Some nice items in the deli case to take home.

We are "locals" and we love The Local. Great for breakfast or lunch. A modern creative menu with huge omelettes (my favorite is Hungry Man with jalapeno cheddar toast) and yummy burgers (my favorite is The Local's own which has jalapenos and onion straws). The coffee is excellent. You can eat inside or on the patio in the summer.

Talk about an incredible surprise! I could not believe this place. I heard about this restaurant that did $5.00 meal deals so my girlfriend and I went out to try it. The food is prepared in advance and service cafeteria style. There is limited seating. The ambiance is non-existent; but the food is INCREDIBLE!The portion size for $5.00 is amazing! The flavor of the foods spectacular! The cuisine seemed a wonderful mixture of Caribbean and soul food! The only drawback is they only cook so much. If you get there late you won't get to eat!

A rather noisy and uninspired environment. Katie was our server, and was pleasant and attentive. The food was good and the pours generous, but the prices were high. $25 for fish and chips and liquor prices confusing with $3 surcharge for rocks or neat, and Katie could give me a satisfactory explanation.Would not go back.

The cafe is always crowded and will only seat you when your entire party is present. Can't say I blame them. Only waited a few minutes. Breakfast and lunch spot. Definitely a favorite with the locals. Coffee is always flowing and food is solid.

Went up to Pearl's with neighbors on a Sunday evening, and the place was packed, and this was after Labor Day,so it was mostly just us locals.Got seated fairly quickly, and the waitress was very attentive, and thoroughly explained all of the evening's specials in detail. The food was excellent, and decent sized, and served hot,as it should be....Surprised they didn't offer Short's Beer, as it's brewed just down the street.Just two minor criticisms, that perhaps the management might address, would be to turn up the lights a little bit so older people could read the menu, and put some whoopee cushions on the chair seats so they aren't so hard.Other than that,it's a great place to go for dinner.
