I love to have lunch here with a friend. Salads are always interesting and healthy. Soups are tasty. Breads are the specialty. Come in with an appetite.

We were up checking out some local schools. We were imediately greated with a genuine smile and hello. Our server was extremly friendly and accomadating. Food was standard diner. However it was made well, served promptly, and was delicious. What really makes this place special is the friendly, genuine, service.

We stayed at Homewood Suites next door so this was such a convenient location. We were there early, about 5pm and there were so many empty tables. Yet we were told to wait. Ok, so we went to the bar. No service. We waited. Still nothing. In the meantime we looked at the menu-- uninspired. This was the final signal, so we left.Went across the street to BJs Brewhouse and had a fabulous meal.

Anyone whoâs lived in Elk Grove or visited here knows that there are plenty of fun things to do throughout the city. There are also many places to eat, but the Black Bear Diner stands out amongst the crowd by offering an atmosphere that is unlike anywhere
You can always get a decent meal at Black Bear Diner but there really isn't anything special about the place. My kid loves that she can order dinner all day long since she is not a breakfast person. Our food came pretty fast and the prices are decent. The service was pleasant enough.

Iâve been traveling for work so my time with family and friends have dipped a bit. I wanted to take my spouse out to a nice dinner upon my return so we came here because we both wanted steak. It was a busy night but not busy enough for us to have to wait for a seat. We did, though, have to wait a bit for our waitress. When she finally arrived, it started off great. That ended once we were asked for our food orders. She asked us and we were placing our orders but her focus was with another table. In fact, while I was speaking (mid sentence!) and she was watching the other table, she stopped another employee and referenced something for her to go check on. She then asked that I repeat myself. So I did. Three times. Anyways, we sat there and talked, drank, watched the employees dance, etc. Our food came out and it was the opposite of everything I had said. For example, I asked for well done...got medium. I asked for grilled onions but no mushrooms...got mushrooms but no onions. And so on. Not that me no longer eating there is going to break their bank but that was my first and last time.

BJ's located in the same parking lot as Hilton we were staying at. We both ordered the Ahi-Tuna salad to go. Service quick and easy. Everything packaged well and with what we needed. Best of all the salad was delicious! Plenty of ahi-tuna, greens fresh and crisp. The dressing tangy and slightly sweet with wasabi on the side. Yummy.

For starters: Fresh baked bread with Garlic butter ( fresh garlic chunks included) Calamari appetizer made from calamari steaks. Not the little pieces we are used to. Excellent. I had the fish and chips special. I t was good but I probably wouldn't order again. Stick to Italian dishes. Every item was great. Finish with homemade spumoni ice cream. Best we ever had. Made with real rum. Awesome. Service is great. Kim is wonderful. If she steers you to or away from something; listen!

It's been a long time since I gave a local restaurant an "Excellent" rating, but this restaurant really knocked came through for us. Our server was extremely accommodating throughout our visit, and the food was amazing. I had the rib eye, the hubs had the stuffed pork chop, and our friends had the halibut. All of us were arguing and debating who had the better dish. Wilton is located south east of Sacramento, yes, it is a small "drive" but it is really worth it. :-)

This quaint little house-to-restaurant conversion was a fabulous experience, with a menu that offered just enough specialties (not overwhelming with choices-thank goodness) and a lovely setting, however, we had a party of 10. I believe our party was too large for their kitchen as our food took 45 minutes to an 1 hours to be served. Fortunately we were amongst good company and we ordered about 5 appetizers that kept us busy until our entrees were ready. All of the appetizers were great. I could have made that my meal if the portions were bigger. The bread they served was so fresh and delicious, I had to refrain from over indulging. I ordered the chicken confit with mushroom sauce - a special for the day and it was incredibly mouthwatering! We brought our own wine and the corking fee was $20 each - not unexpected. While there, a "senior" gentleman got on his knees before a "señor" redhead and announced their 40th anniversary. Next thing I know, we all were served a glass of champagne to celebrate their lifetime of happiness - to think - he chose Boulevard Bistro as his venue says a lot. I'll be back, but in smaller numbers.
