Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q serves Real Texas Bar-B-Q seven days a week. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and group meals.
I can honestly say this is some of the best barbecue I have had. The setup is very cool, and the staff is overwhelmingly helpful and friendly. All of the cuts are plentiful, and the sides are also very well done. The breakfast burritos are out of this world! If you like barbecue, you owe it to yourself to stop here and give it a shot.
For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca
In a city filled with poor restaurants, this Denny's is a nice surprise. The menu is the standard Denny's menu, which is comparably comprehensive and dependable. The service is hit-or-miss, since it is mostly local young people, but the more mature wait staff is good. The food preparation is generally quite good. Egg whites are sometimes a little underdone, but that is an exception. The chopped steak/hamburger is absolutely the best in the entire county. The portions are very appropriate, and so you get a good value for your money. It is often cold, so perhaps bring a wrap. We frequent this restaurant regularly because it is a safe bet--very dependable.
A recent visit to Luby's in Edinburg. We had a pretty unremarkable visit. Went thru the line. Noticed that the roast beef is usually not available or the selection is really small and dry. Serving selection is usually chicken or fish, both plentiful. The sides are a colorful variety of veggies, steamed, etc. Desserts are also a variety but by evening they seem to be out of cherry pie.

We went to their Thanksgiving buffet this year. The food on the buffet was really good. The services was alright (too few servers). The desserts didn't seem homemade, and the coffee was just ok. The hotel and location really needs to be updated!

The food is absolutely out of this world. We had burgers, wings, pizza and a mac and cheese appetizer. Drinks are ice cold. The server, Nathaniel, should be manager! He made our experience so much better. He helped us navigate the menu and suggested some very good food choices. We will eat here again before we go back home. We do not have this food there and the service / server is one of a kind.

Didn't get our server's name, but he gave several great recommendations on the beers and food. We (wife, daughter and myself) tried 7 different beers while having appetizers and then later main courses. The appetizer was 3 sliders done with sausage, avocado, tomatoes and sauce, which was quite tasty. Daughter had the tuna burger, wife had "Teacher's Pet" which had grilled peach on it with brie cheese and bacon on top of the burger. I always like a plain burger, but I did add PepperJack cheese and mushrooms, then we split parmesan fries. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Servers work as a team!

A simple "Mom and Pop" store that gives you a "country atmosphere". Getting a variety platter is probably a wiser decision if you have never eaten there before. Personally, I avoid ordering briskets because it is too oily for my heart. You can always get an ice tea to accompany your meal.

Located in The Shoppes at Rio Grande Valley, Bob's is just off US Highway 281 in the heart of Edinburg. Bob's combines a lively atmosphere, fine wines and large cuts of the finest prime steaks, chops and seafood to make Bob's the best steak house in any t
Went in with high expectations but left disappointed. My daughter and I both ordered the 14 oz ribeye with baked potato, the wife ordered Salmon. The ribeyes were thin and very tough (they were ordered medium rare),not great at all. The wife said her Salmon was good, but a little dry. We also ordered mushrooms for the table, they looked great but had a strange flavor. The place looked great, the waiter did a good job and the manager on duty stopped by to say hi. Maybe it was a bad night?

Their 1/2 pound burger is one of the great bargains in the Upper Valley. Not only do you get the burger but your choice on a side. You can get your choice of potatoes, salad, corn, green bean casserole or a few other choices. My burger was $4.99 and I added cheese for $.99. My wife had a 10 ounce Rib Eye Steak and two sides for$11.99. The food is really good and worth the price. The pictures and articles of their family are interesting and some of these take you back to the turn of the 20th Century.

I've never had a bad meal at any of the TRs. They have consistency down to an exact science. Had the 8oz filet with mushrooms and it was superb. Service was quite hurried but then again I suppose it has to be as they usher all of the folks in and out throughout the evening. Will definitely return. Highly recommended
