Things to do in East Chicago
My relatives were visiting from Landover MD. We stopped to eat at this restaurant because it was new. The owners were very receptive to all patrons. We looked over the menu which was interesting. Breakfast was served all day along with other food for Lunch, Brunch and Dinner. The food was excellent. This place does not serve drinks(alcoholic beverages) which makes it nice for your siblings. It is located in the section called Indiana Harbor. They have private rooms for meetings and other events.

Sun July 28, 2019 Mile Marker 0 I-90 just after (or before) the Chicago Skyway, Village Square Buffet, Horseshoe Hammond, IN.Kristen on cash, no host/hostess it's seat yourselfers, Georgina is our friendly an excellent server. Excellent quality and selection only $38.50 for two (gratuity not included) John (excellent memory, remembering my name) had two cuts of prime standing rib roast, beef brisket and Turkey for carving, I had the prime rib well, cranberry sauce, green olives, red whole baby beets and cheddar cheese cubes for color and taste. Tortellini with sauteed tomato in herbed chicken was amazing and worth the drive from anywhere, the Strawberry Shortcake was an amazing dessert. Thanks to all who make this a great #buffasino
We ate here at the recommendation of our poker dealer. Very nice surprise for a 'burger joint.' Simple menu, but awesome taste and great service. The cashier was fun and very patient with us. We opted for Chicken sandwiches instead of their famous burgers and it was absolutely delicious and filling. The chicken noodle soup was so good, i took some back to the room for a late night snack. The chili was spicy but very tasty. The dining area had many tv's with sports on all around. There was also a dessert counter, although we were too full to try any of those out. Definitely a restaurant i would recommend to anyone. (And it's outside of the casino boundaries so kids are welcome too). They do serve beer, but a limited selection. I suggest a milkshake instead.

We were staying in the hotel and called Stadium for a take out order since it was late and we wanted to eat in our room. I called and wanted to order chicken tenders and quesadillas with chicken. I was told by the employee that I canât order chicken tenders for carry out unless I have a âblack cardâ which is guess is something special. I just canât believe this, itâs absolutely ridiculous!! So I ended up just ordering 2 of the quesadillas which were about $9 on the menu but when I went to pickup the food, I was told the cost was $29 for each order because I added chicken. Are you flipping kidding me? After a discussion with a manager the price was dropped but the attitude was off the charts and I will NEVER return to this place. We're very disappointed to hear about your experience at Stadium, Rich. We strive to provide a great stay for each of our guests and appreciate the chance to understand your concerns. While the initial cost problem was dealt with during your stay, we understand the frustration you must have felt. We hope that you change your mind and come back to see us for a more positive, worry-free meal.

We were staying at the nearby Comfort Inn immediately off I-90 for a less expensive Chicago experience (much cheaper hotel, no parking fee, free breakfast). I searched for local nearby dining opportunities and luckily landed on Byway Brewing Company only one interstate exit away. They had a nice array of beers and the usual options of samples, small and pint-sized pours, which were great, but where they really exceeded our expectations was on the food. Don't let them kid you that the portions are individually sized. Only if you're a construction worker who just came off a 12 hour shift! we saw a party of 3 splitting their noodle bowl along with several sides. My husband and I could have easily split either the delicious house burger with bacon-onion "jam" or his braised garlic short ribs with charred tomatoes and seared onions gyro on a pita. Wow! Definitely several notches above the usual pub grub. We split a cup of sweet potato soup embellished with sesame and paprika oils that began divine then turned truly heavenly when we hit the sour cream lurking in the bottom of the cup. My husband's "gyro" came with french fries with garlic, salt and pepper. I opted for their house chips, which were equally good. After sampling several of their beers both of us chose things we don't normally: I went for a Sunny Vale IPA that worked beautifully with the burger while hubby chose an unusual orange wheat beer. They also had a cherry wheat that was tasty, but a little too sweet for me. Reminded me a bit of the classic German beer cocktail "Berliner Weisse." All in all, an unexpectedly lovely evening. Our server Emily was attentive and as it got busier the staff seemed to look out for each other which I always apppreciate. The decor is typical brewing company industrial and the location, right off the freeway (but facing away from it) isn't redolent with ambiance unless you're into gasoline, but absolutely worth the very easy jog off the interstate to find. They have tables for bigger groups and outdoor seating also.

Great place! Not fancy inside but comfortable. We tried the Polish beer on tap, excellent! Both the owners and our server were so very friendly. My husband had the Polish platter and everything on it was wonderful. The potato pancakes tasted just like the ones my grandma used to fry up in her kitchen. I had the perch and frog leg combo which was delicious. All this plus the prices are unbelievably reasonable! One note, make sure to go early as the kitchen closes at 8:00. Can't wait to go back!

This buffet is smaller than horse shoe but it is also a little cheaper in price. The roast beef , turkey and deserts are all excellent. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, David! We're so happy to hear you had the chance to try out some of our Heritage Buffet stations and can't wait to welcome you back for another meal.

I love the shrimp from Bob's. I don't like a lot of batter so if you not want that ask for it to be fried light. That means it won't have too much batter and not be overfried. I like my shrimp a little firm not soft and soggy. And they were perfect. Besides, unless you eat them right away they will steam in the packaging. If you are unsure just ask and they will cook it the way you like. Everytime I go to G.I. this is my new go to. Keep in mind they are closed on Mondays.

This was a meal where we had already chosen on our bus tour what entree we would like. The service was prompt and we enjoyed our selections. My husband had pork tenderloin and I had shrimp. All was very tasty. The dessert was sherbert.
