We had a wonderful breakfast here. The decor was train themed. My son loved it! I ordered the Hobo, my son had the kidâs pancake, my friend had the depot breakfast, mom had a sausage biscuit, and my husband had the Denver omelette. Our other friends with us said they really enjoyed what they ordered, with the sausage being the most raved over. This is a place we would frequent if we lived here.

The pulled pork on my husband's place was delicious. I, however, got chicken that was over-cooked and dry. Friends who were with us really enjoyed the burgers and the sweet tea was divine. I wish they'd had baked potatoes at lunch for a good, stuffed spud, but apparently, that's not an everyday menu item.Hi! Thank you for the review! I'm sorry that your chicken wasn't on point; we try to time everything just right as it comes off the smoker. I apologize! The good news - we are currently offering our stuffed spud as a daily item, and we have a few different options for the spud toppings as well! We appreciate you, and hope to see you soon.

Lunch & Dinner we have a different menu for each. Carmela's is owned by owners that are usually always there to greet you. We know that money is precious and take it as a great compliment when you choose us to cook your meal for you.We cook with fresh pro
My wife and I had driven by many times and never stopped to eat at Carmela's- it just didn't look real impressive. Tonight we decided to actually give it a try based on the reviews that we read on Trip Advisor and Wow! we were surprised! The menu is pretty typical of most Italian restaurants in the area. I asked our server (Jessie- who was awesome) about the veal, I didn't want one of those pre-processed patties that so many places serve. She told me that it was fresh real so I decided to give the real parm a shot and she was right, it was absolutely fabulous veal and the dish was delicious. My wife had French onion soup and a delmonico (ribeye) steak. Steak cooked perfectly and the soup was delicious and piping hot. The salad bar was simple but very nice and everything fresh. It was a pleasant surprise and we're planning on going back soon! Thanks Jessie- great job!

Visited for the first time, while traveling. Breakfast was excellent and served quickly with a smile. Eggs, ham steak, biscuits and gravy were all excellent. Ownership helped my family out that evening by accommodating our large dinner party (16 persons) that started one hour before restaurant closing. They did this with only a few hours advance notice. That dinner party was a success. All dishes were very tasty and service was great. Many thanks to ownership.

This place is a hidden gem. It appears closed or did to us when we first saw it but the parking is in the back and it is far from closed!! The old building is charming and it has a historic wooden bar in the back as well that has a big story behind it. But let's get to the food because it's probably the best Cuban press sandwich ever had! The owner bakes his own bread, which lends the core deliciousness to the sandwich. The meats are all wonderful fresh Boarshead and you have your choice of fries of which I highly recommend the garlic herb ones. The servers are efficient and friendly, the owners in the kitchen are friendly and appreciative of praises! I can't wait to try the other specials and food on the menu. Great place!!!

First time there and was pleasantly surprised. Service was good and menu gave plenty of choices - got alligator as appetizer and smaller prime rib as main course. I rarely get a good steak anywhere so I was skeptical but was great meal prepared perfectly. The setting next to the river was especially comfortable and shouted out âOld Floridaâ ! Will definitely be back.

After an incredible pontoon tour on 'Singing River Tours' the OTOW (community we live in) tour bus took us to Swampy's for lunch. We four friends were fortunate enough to have Kathy23 as our server. Kathy is witty, friendly, gives good service with a smile and humor. The bartender made perfect old fashion drinks which is an added bonus. Our meals were tasty, delivered on time and done correctly. Tom had a cup of clam chowder soup and Who dat Wrap with a side of coleslaw. I had shrimp, sausage and grits (hold the sausage)

This is a unique tiki bar restaurant set on the banks of the Withlacoohcee River. We offer indoor and covered outdoor dining. Great selection of seafood, steaks, burgers, chicken, Terrific salads as well. Live music Thursday through Sunday.
We, with friends Dale & Judy, were out for the day enjoying various places in Ocala and Dunnellon. Blue Gator was on our 'to-do' list. We stopped here for a cool, refreshing drink and appetizers. We had deep fried okra and chicken wings. Both were tasty, temperature hot and enjoyable. Our server Sparky was personable, friendly, effecient and gave perfect service

We stopped for Lunch and just missed the Breakfast serving time. This is a nice "localized" dining place. The menu offers Breakfast until 11:00 AM, Lunch Sandwiches such as BLT, Burgers, Grilled Chicken, Cuban & more. Each Sandwich comes with 2 sides and there are quite a few to choose from. The Dinner menu offers Liver & Onions, Open Faced Sandwiches (Beef or Turkey), Fried Chicken & more. Then there's Dessert! It'a all about their Pies and many to choose from, i.e., Apple, Pecan, Coconut Cream, etc. For lunch I chose a Burger with a side of Fries and Potato Salad that was excellent. They fresh cook the meals and it reflects in the good taste. My wife chose the BLT with a side of Fries and their Slaw that was also a very good selection. Our meals were filling so we decided to take home some Pies for a late night snack. The wait staff is very accomodating, friendly, and helpful. While the place is not exceptionally big, there is both indoor and outdoor seating. I wish they had longer Breakfast serving times, We highly recommend The Front Porch and I hope you find this review helpful in making your next dining plans.
