The salad bar is good and it ends there. The last two times we visited this restaurant the food was awful.I had the roast beef in Au jus and the meat was tasteless and well well done. The Au Jus was like colored water. We have had corn many times out and at home this year and it is a banner year for corn except here the corn was really really bad and tasted like cardboard. We used to frequent this restaurant but the last two times were our last two.

I have driven by this BBQ stand for several years. This afternoon I decided to try a sandwich for lunch. The brisket sandwich I ordered was very good. Although the brisket looked "stringy" it was actually very tender and tasty. I opted for the hot sauce on my sandwich. The hot sauce is spicy at about a 5 on a scale of 10.There are a handful of picnic tables to sit at. This is a BBQ stand so there is not any indoor seating. My only suggestion.... add some additional sauces to choose from. The brisket sandwich with a bottle of water was $9.50 which is a fair price.I'll be back :)

Visited this restaurant for the first time this past Thursday. There were 6 of us and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Our server was very good, had a great smile, and knew the menu well. I couldn't decide between the Beef BBQ sandwich, and the Pork BBQ Sandwich, so, I ordered both....both were very tasty, and packed with meat, but the nod goes to the Pork because it was more moist.....The Beef was tasty, but needed to be a bit more moist....but, it wasn't bad. The chips that came with them looked home made and I believe they may have been made from sweet potatoes....at any rate, they were very good, as were the pickle spears....nice and cold, and a nice snap. Two of my friends had the Cuban Sandwich and they both said they were very, very good. Two friends each had a chef's salad, and they were huge, and all the veggies were very fresh. Another member of our group had a craving for bangers and mashed, so that's what he went with.....again...no complaints and he really enjoyed them....it was a nice sized platter, too. We also split a couple orders of their chicken wings, and they were among the best I've had in some time....made fresh, served hot, and the BBQ and Honey Mustard sauces were great!. There's plenty of parking, and the rest rooms are clean.....the front bar area is kind of dingy and dark, but just continue through to the dining room....it's very large with a cathedral ceiling, big screen TV's, and a pool table as well as darts. There's also a beautiful outdoor dining/drinking pavilion for your enjoyment. We chose to eat inside and take advantage of the air conditioning.....We'll be back for sure....Just an FYI....Main Street in Douglassville, is RT. 724.

My nephew-in-law brought us here for an afternoon of drinks and apps. They sure are in an isolated location, as it felt we were in the middle of a forest with greenery and trees everywhere. ATMOSPHERE:Regardless of the raging heatwave, we sat outside under an umbrella-covered table. Some utilized picnic tables and blankets under trees. Communal picnic tables were available on the covered lanai, or indoors in cool a/c. Frisbee golf was available but no one was playing. MENU:Daily combo specials, bar-style apps, pizza, wings, sandwiches, salads. BEVERAGE:SRT Ale - $3.50Man, the last time I paid this little for beer was ages ago!? I donât think it was happy hour either. This brew was slightly hoppy with just a slight bitterness. Helles Golden Lager - $3.50Smooth as a babyâs behind! A bit like Maui Brewing Companyâs Bikini Blonde but minus the nuttiness. FOOD:Brick Oven Wings - $12.50, 10 pc. We ordered the Honey Sriracha which was too hot for me, about an 8 on a 10-heat scale), and plain (no sauce, with side of ranch) which I loved. Their wings are baked, not fried, and still had a nice crunch to the skins. Italian Grinder Pizza - $11.00This chewy thin crust, homemade pie included salami, pepperoni, ham, lettuce, tomato, oregano, and onions (which we axed). The tomatoes and lettuce were sprinkled on after the pizza was baked which kept them fresh and juicy. SERVICE:Order inside, open a tab, carry your drink out, and your food is delivered to you via a table number sign. No wait staff is available, only bussers. Counter staff were friendly and moved the line quickly. TIP:They also sell their beers to-go in their infamous wide-mouth can where the entire top comes off. OVERALL:Affordable craft beer, good food. A five star rating could be had if table service were available.

Stopped in for lunch and a beer after hiking. The food was excellent. The beer selection was good and the bartender was very friendly. Very enjoyable. The atmosphere is very nice but small.

My daughter and I had breakfast before our Lancasterâs Best Kept Secret Tour. I had the pumpkin crepes and they were delicious. Cheerful atmosphere. A lot of people eating there so it must be a local favorite. Would definitely eat there again

Had heard good things about it from various people so decided to give it a try. Very interesting place. The atmosphere is quite unique (old house). The beers were quite good and so was the food. Definitely worth a visit.

Mixed feelings about this place. While it is a cute, well-maintained historic property ... it is lacking in customer service. It started when calling for reservations. Whoever answered the phone was gruff and seemed unhappy. Made me even reconsider making reservations. It turned out we didn't need them for mid-week. The place was empty except for a few folks at the bar and a few tables. We walked in the main door and a nice young lady smiled, greeted us and sat us. The waiter came over and didn't identify himself at all, just "can he take drinks." When staff introduce themselves, it becomes a more personalized experience.Dinner was really good! All the meals were wonderful. Kudos to the chef. Great seafood dish that evening. We felt towards the end of the meal we were rushed. A few may have been done their meal and plates were removed. But some of us weren't finished when a waitress asked about dessert ?? Really? I still had my fork in my hand from dinner. I didn't appreciate the rush - honestly there was no need to make us rush, the dining room was empty. So - 3 stars as an average. We won't be back since it took us an hour to get there and it wasn't inexpensive. Take a look at the menu before going. It's a smaller menu and some folks might not find something on it they like. Dress varied from suitcoats, to casual and jeans.
