Large menu of eggs, omelettes, scrambles, pancakes, Benedictâs. Good Food, but didnât like the thick slices of French bread toast instead of regular bread. I got the turkey hash and it was a little salty. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and delicious. The scones were okay, but not as good as they looked. The room is very small and limited space to wait. Server very friendly and patient despite how busy they were. Very popular place. Only serves breakfast until 12:30 pm and take checks or cash, no credit cards.

Oh my goodness it is crazy busy at lunch! Lots of choices...but NO gluten free bread. Abrupt staff, do to pace I am sure. Outside seating. Salads ok.

This restaurant was recommended to us by one of the staff at Hildene, the Lincoln family estate. The food and service were beyond superb. The atmosphere is very relaxing as well. We told our server that we were very hungry and he made sure that our food was delivered quite promptly and it was ALL delicious. The meal started with a cranberry muffin, followed by warm fresh rolls, salad, entree and dessert. Overall a GREAT experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.Michelle,Mission accomplished!!! Your review affirms that we have reached our goal of serving fine food and drink and providing friendly service all in our historic Tavern. Thank you for listening to the folks at Hildene and dining with us.Please do not forget us and come back as soon as possible.Cheers!Michael

Lovely boutique restaurant, with only 6 tables, and a couple of bar spots available. Highly recommend booking in advance as unlikely to get in otherwise. Food was wonderful, service attentive -really glad we visited.

A casual dining experience offering exceptional meals at breakfast and dinner. All of our sauces, soups and dressings our handcrafted on our property. We serve prime cut steaks, fresh seafood, pork loin (one of the favorites after the steaks and seafood)
I recently stayed on the property and Nippers was a nice surprise. I enjoyed a great filet with mashed potatoes and a side caesar. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. The Manchester area is full of expensive restaurants and pricey accommodations. I've been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively, many times on an unlimited expense account. Unfortunately, there are times you can leave without a sense it was worth the price. Not in this case.As others have said, it's very good food at fair prices and well worth visiting for a meal. I'll stop by again.
The Marble West Inn was built in1840 with major renovations in 2014. This sophisticated Inn on historic Dorset West Road, includes long mountain views, an organic vegetable & herb garden and a beautiful backyard brook. The Marble West Inn features: seven
This has been the best meal we've had since moving to Southern Vermont seven years ago. The new owners have not only done a wonderful job redecorating the inn itself but turning the restaurant into a must visit destination. The food is thoughtful and unique without being overly precious or trendy. The ingredients are excellent, often locally sourced, and perfectly prepared. It's high-end dining in an incredibly friendly and welcoming environment, hosted by individuals who take hospitality seriously. We'll definitely be returning to enjoy the menu as it changes with the season. Note that it is a chef's menu so you enjoy what is served rather than ordering a la carte. Those who don't like leaving their meal in someone else's hands may not like it, but for those who trust the meal will be delicious will be incredibly delighted.Hello Maeve,Thank you for the kind words, and for dining with us. We couldn't do all of this without you, and we look forward to seeing you again, soon! :)Bests,Paul

We were staying at the Barrows Inn and walked to the Dorset Inn each morning for breakfast (it was included with our stay). On the way back we would stop at the Rising and pick up sandwiches for our hikes. They had a nice selection of specialty sandwiches and much better quality than those at the general store. We also picked up wonderful iced lattes for mornings at the pool. The only disappointing item was their homemade lemonade...very watered down. I would definitely stop here when staying in Dorset. Their breakfasts looked good also!!

Barrows House Restaurant is an American pub with a modern twist on traditional New England tavern fare that pairs great food with craft beers. Our menus and beverages showcase Vermont's abundance of local products and celebrate its farms and producers. Th
Parking lot and walkway leading towards the entrance was covered in water and mud. It was disgusting. We give it the benefit of the doubt and proceeded to walk towards the entrance, ruining our shoes in the process. We made it in, and stand by the host table for about 3minutes, while the host was talking to someone, then instead of greeting us, walked away and went to chat with some other table. We left, walking through another round of water and mud to get to our car. Now our car is dirty and our shoes are ruined. The night was saved by the friendly staff and delicious food of Ye Olde Tavern. Save yourself the heartache and skip this awful place! If management is reading this: PLACE A SIGN THAT SAY PARK BY THE INN ENTRANCE AND GO THROUGH THE INN TO GET TO THE RESTAURANT (as least when the weather was like that)Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, even though you did not actually join us for dinner. Unfortunately, "Mud Season" in Vermont is a difficult time of year for driveways and parking lots since the temperature can fluctuate 30 degrees in less than 24 hours. On Thursdays, we offer trivia from 7-9pm and unfortunately, the trivia host is not the host of the restaurant so is unable to seat guests. We appreciate the feedback and always want to make sure we are providing the best level of service to our guests so will be sharing your review with our staff.

Modern Asian Cuisine served in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Do not pass go, do not collect $200! At least not until you have visited the Inn at West View Farm for their Dim Sum. They bring out things and then you just keep going 'til you can't any more. Cozy area near the bar is great for an intimate little Chinese dinner with friends. YUM.

The Dorset Inn...always a treat! All of us here love food and enjoy sharing that with you. The warm and welcoming ambiance of the historic red dining room and cozy New England tavern allows guests to relax and enjoy the food, the wine and the friendly hos
I decided to give this place 5 stars. The place is beautiful with nice atmosphere. The service is very proper, old fashioned and very proper. I felt very special. The food was excellent and exceeded my very high expectations. The roasted garlic and galette appetizer was phenomenal. The fillet cooked to perfection. The dessert - bread pudding was also very good. So now I get to that one part which was shockingly disappointing - their water is so terribly over chlorinated - it almost ruined whole experience. They should pour bottled water to their guests. So even thought this was one thing which was extremely bad I still wanna give this place 5 stars because everything else was simply perfect. I would appreciate if management do something about this one complaint! Hi love2eat502, Thank you for the review! I remember you and your travel stories well! The water issue that you experienced is very much out of the ordinary for us (and Vermont). If you happen to be in our neck of the woods again, we do offer bottled flat or Saratoga Sparkling Spring water. I will mention to the staff to offer this at the initial greeting. People might not think of asking! All the best, Aimee
