Homestyle Country Cooking and Breakfast all day. Homemade biscuits & gravy ,Hand breaded Seafood and Chicken tenders. Something for the whole family !!!!!
Went there for Sunday dinner for the first time and we were surprised by the varied menu. Food and beverages were served promptly and everything was as the menu suggested. The half rack of ribs were fantastic and the fish, excellent. Don't know how to add ambiance to there open room seating, but that would be nice.

We often go here for breakfast. I've not been here for other meals. Breakfast, though, is always excellent. Their portion sizes easily match places like Cracker Barrel, but the food is even better, and you get it for a few dollars less per person. Basically sit-down restaurant food and experience for fast food prices.Best place for breakfast in Surry County, and you can't get a better location: just a few hundred feet off of I-77 (Exit 93).

Stopped in Dobson overnight on a trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Live music was too loud, wait staff disorganized - I had four different wait "persons", and all we're not very attentive. Food was ok, but not worth the prices or the drive through the Dobson countryside. I would highly recommend most anyplace else.

Such an experience! Beautiful place, especially if you've never been--impressive, romantic, an adventure. You turn off the road into this wooded area that twists & turns & drive through a covered bridge over Cody Creek...make your way into the divided parking areas & will instantly be awed by the buildings & that the parking lot is full. BUT don't be intimidated, because this restaurant has a large dining capacity. We added our name to the waiting list, told it would be "at least 30 minutes" and used that time to walk around the grounds. Went over to the General Store, the Gazebo--threw pennies into the wishing fountain, visited the church (also built over the creek); returned to rock while we waited. It took about 45 minutes to get our table but we didn't mind the wait at all because we were very relaxed & was enjoying the atmosphere. Service was GREAT! Didn't have to wait for anything--best service I've had anywhere in a very long time! THEN the food---excellent! We ordered drinks & an appetizer & he had a steak, I had the small portion of popcorn shrimp...we both had plenty of food (actually even the small portion plate was more than I could eat)...I don't usually order seafood if I'm not at a seafood restaurant--but I'm so glad I did...it was WAY better than any I had in a seafood restaurant in a very long time. After dinner, we enjoyed rocking in the chairs again & rested & by then it was dark & the lanterns were on & it was just a beautiful place, a wonderful night & we will definately return!

The Harvest Grill, located on the grounds of Shelton Vineyards, offers upscale dining with a bistro style atmosphere. The Harvest Grill has enclosed patio seating as well as an intimate dining room. Featuring a menu that our chef has deemed "sophisticated
We have eaten here around 4 times per year for the past 2Osome years. The last several times weâve noticed how bad the food and service has become.Realizing that in the Dobson area there really no other nice restaurants The Harvest Grill has been able to survive... however this place needs a total over-haul. The menu tries to be unique however the options and the actual food are just plain weird. Both of our plates this weekend were pretty much awful. The decor of the place is also in need of a change. Itâs what Iâd call.. Senior Tackey with a Country Twist. If this place had any competition in the area, and didnât have the monetary backing of the Vineyards Owners it would have never survived.
