We actually pulled up to the Waffle House when we saw this place across the street so we decided to go there instead. Great breakfast food and awesome waffles! Stay away from the flavored tea. Straight syrup. Other than that you will greatly enjoy this place.
I get the EXACT same thing down to the toppings and drink at every Subway. This make a comparison very easy for me.The wheat bread tasted about 3 days old. Seriously. I know (again, from experience) that they don't move a ton of wheat, but jeez, only make what you use a day. Figure it out. Establish a pattern. This bread was OLD.The cheese slices just get thinner.I was handed a "coupon" to try an Italian sub with "new" mozzarella chz but GET THIS, the "coupon" offered NO discount but instead said that ADDITIONAL charges will apply. LOL & OMGThe lady making my sub put a bead of spicy mustard down the length of the sub about the diameter of a nickel. That's a LOT of spicy mustard. Then followed that with a thin line of mayo that wasn't NEAR enough. And, she forgot my oil and vinegar but maybe that was a good thing. LolPathetic.

Very convenient for a quick stop for gas, restroom, and food/drink when traveling up or down I95. On the day we stopped had great staff and got food quickly. Collocated with a Love's gas station/mini-mart. They have one if those dial-up soda dispensers, so you have a wide choice for soft drinks. Easy on/off I95.

The Waffle House is close to the Quality Inn and inexpensive. The place is dated and could have used some cleaning. Ordered eggs over medium and they came over easy--whites also runny. Ordered bacon and half of it was burned. Toast was cold. Sweet tea was a little soured. IF I were to stay in this area again I would try the Huddle House across the street.

Visited for lunch. Starts with the crust. Crust was cooked perfectly and pizza was made to the proper thickness. Think 'handtossed' if comparing to crappy chain pizza. Sauce was tangy and had great seasoned tomato taste. Just the right amount as to coat dough, but not make crust soggy. Toppings seemed fresh and plentiful. Got a small specialty pizza and portion size was just right for 2 at lunch. Only improvement I would suggest is giving the place a good cleaning top to bottom to freshen it up and maybe updating the decor. Seemed a little stuck in the 80's. Would definitely visit again for the pie!

Full Name is Kintyre House Grill & Tavern
Kintyre House is our always reliable escape from fast food when we're in the Dillon area. The menu is not adventurous but has enough variety to appeal to most tastes. The food is very good. Tonight the teriyaki salad with steak was delicious. The steak sandwich was tasty. That's not to say the food is always perfect. The chili tonight was delicious but was only warm, not hot in temperature. The onion rings seemed as if they had no actual onion inside the fried batter. Our server tonight could not have been more pleasant and helpful. She checked on us frequently, always with a smile. Once she came by with a partly-filled pitcher and emptied it into my partly-empty soft drink glass, filling it to just below the top. We congratulated her on estimating so well what was needed, and we learned she takes pride in doing that! The atmosphere is casual, the food will leave you satisfied, and the service is always friendly and attentive. For a satisfying meal in Dillon, I recommend Kintyre House without hesitation.
