We stopped at Estero Cafe one morning while staying in Valley Ford and had breakfast. It's a really cute little restaurant with seating both inside and outside. I opted for the biscuits and gravy and my wife had the huevos rancheros, both were fantastic. Both meals were just perfect and we didn't feel overly stuffed when we were done eating. The service is great as well as the food. We both wish we lived closer we'd certainly be back.

Delectable oysters en-route to Point Reyes. The scenery is gorgeous and serene. The oysters were fresh and of high quality. My favorite version were the bbq flavor, which were out of this world. A favorite place for locals. Please stop here and enjoy a relaxing time eating oysters and taking in the natural beauty of northern California.

Fisherman's Cove is a local, family-owned seafood shack and fishing-marine supply store specializing in fresh local oysters that are grown on Tamales Bay. We serve them on the half shell or barbecued with your choice of six different house specialty sauce
This is a little dive place on the water but not even really a restaurant. There are shared tables and countertops where people just sit and wait for their food. To give you an idea, they also sell bait, tackle, lifevests and other items needed for being out on the water. You stand in line and place your order and then are given a number you take to where there is a place to sit. No real silverware or glassware or anything even remotely close. Paper cups and plastic is all you are getting in this place. But both my husband and I had barbecue oysters, two different types I had the chorizo and lemon butter. I honestly canât remember what he had but we both absolutely loved the food. And we both had bowls, not cups, of clam chowder. I used to live in New England so I know clam chowder fairly well. Never tasted anything like this. Absolutely amazing! I have never tasted minced carrots and celery which seem to be raw to me that were dumped into the clam chowder before it was served. These were a little teeny specks of vegetables that were crunchy. I just loved the contrast between the creamy chowder and the crunchy veggies. And speaking of creamy, thatâs what it was not clumpy. So often when I order clam chowder it is so thick with additives that it is almost like oatmeal. True clam chowder, in my opinion, should be creamy, not watery, but not oatmeal either. This place hit it out the park. Not cheap either. I think 4 barbecued oysters were $17, but worth every penny! Would go back anytime! Note: I did not comment on Service since there was no service!!!intrepidtraveler23, we're beyond happy to read that the BBQ oysters and clam chowder really blew you out of the water! We do things a little different here, and we're so thrilled you appreciated the veggies in the chowder as well as the simplicity of it all. We really hope you make it back our way again soon! All the best,Fisherman's Cove Team

A Sonoma County roadhouse featuring craft cocktails and a menu of southern comfort classics rich with sustainable seafood and local foods. Housed in a small historic hotel built in 1864, Rocker Oysterfeller's is a true classic with a warm and lively atmos
We each got the salmon with caramelized brussel sprouts and jambalaya. Deviled eggs topped with a fried oyster. And 6 grilled oysters. The salmon was very moist and the deviled eggs and grilled oysters were good. The service was good and friendly. The only issue I had was that it was pricey. I guess itâs California but in New Orleans and other areas of the south the thought of $42 for a dozen grilled oysters is a shocker. But the food was good and we liked the ambiance of the place.

Hog Island Oyster Co. Marshall offers three dining options on the shore of Tomales Bay, the bay where we raise our own oysters and shellfish. 1. Reserve a seat(s) at The Boat Oyster Bar and outdoor oyster bar with communal seating where we shuck and grill
We were on our drive down from our wine weekend and made our intentional detour to Hog Island because weâve endured the lines at the Ferry Building in SF and knew with this spot we could enjoy these delicious oysters right away. The hostess gave us a great table with a sweeping view of the bay... did I mention that all tables basically have sweeping views. We each ordered a cold drink and then came oysters! On ice and we even tried the grilled ones... A great place to go and wonât let you down!

Welcome to the William Tell House, a fresh take on an Old California institution originally established in 1877. Marin Countyâs Oldest Saloon and Inn is nestled in the town of Tomales, California. This is the epicenter of where land meets the ocean. Minut
Historic building is very interesting. Service was very attentive. Their take on chicken marsala was unusual. Was basically a chicken breast, not a cutlet pounded thin. Sauce was flavorful but overly sweet. Came with a generous portion of veggies and a baked potato.BBQ pulled pork was very spicy. Could have used a hint about that. One more thing deserving comment. The carpet looked filthy and was badly stained. Very unappetizing. It's the only real restaurant in town so go for an average meal, the historic photos and the convenience.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary with the folks at Drakeâs. I would call ahead for a reservation, we liked the booth arrangement. Nice view and not near the glare and sun near the window seats. We had their soup special, beet salad and they split the salmon entree for us. The choices for wine, entrees and dessert were varied but not overwhelming. The staff was professional and friendly. Enjoy!

Stopped in here on a Tuesday for a late lunch (other restaurants in the area are closed on both Monday and Tuesday - check before going). We had wine, beer, oysters, fish tacos, mac n cheese, and finished it off with cappuccino. Beautiful view from our window-side table, great service, and relaxing.Would highly recommend Nick's. Total for lunch was $132 plus tip.

The coastal kitchen sits on dillon beach with a million dollar view of tomales point and the ocean. It is a causal place that serves the diverse clientele of locals, weekend visitors in beach houses, day trippers and campers. This is not the hamptons, stinson beach or sea ranch and we love it for this reason. This is west marin ranch country. So they serve local beef and oysters at moderate prices. I had a great stemple ranch hamburger, which was as excellent as the old place. Wife had an oyster torpedo sandwich from hog island. Also excellent. My fries could have been better. I like them small and crisp like a French bistro, they claimed they were twice fried. Excellent list of local beers. Wines were over priced so we avoided them. Friendly staff and friendly patrons. We hope to see this place succeed. They update menu weekly and are working to please clientele ..wife wants a staple of fish and chips as it is a beach cafe
