The cafe offers a diverse American menu with world-wide influences. Made with fresh, local ingredients and set in charming downtown Dayton.
My husband and I were passing through Dayton and decided to have lunch here, based on the recommendations on this site. This is a really quaint, cute cafe with limited outdoor seating. I had the spring roll bowl, which is served cold and was quite delicious. My husband had the sweet corn risotto and it was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive and I wouldn't hesitate to eat here any day of the week. The menu, though not extensive, is large enough to accommodate most eaters. The cafe is for sale so I would eat here before it changes hands. The current owner/chef is doing a fantastic job and I recommend stopping here while in Dayton.

We are a small brewery with a pizza restaurant. Our beer is brewed from ingredients grown in the Palouse and hops from Washington. Our patio seating is dog friendly.
The Chief Springâs was recommended by a resident and did not disappoint. Located on the main road in downtown Dayton it offers plenty of parking. The interior of the classic building is decorated with fire station/fire fighting photos and memorabilia; toys, hoses, photos, etc.The main event is the food. I started with a â4 trackâ beer, made in the pub, at the recommendation of the server. It was a well flavored medium dark beer that I enjoyed. Sampled the wheat beer and found it too light for my taste. Ordered a âMeat Eatersâ pizza and two salads; big mistake. The pizza was wonderful; good crust and flavors. And the salads was bigger than expected. Could have done without the salads and focused on the pizza. We could get salads anywhere but the pizza should have been our focus.Overall a great meal in a small town. Just driving through or staying the night, this place is worth a visit.

Good sandwiches and outstanding fresh baked dough nuts.On our way from Tri-Cities to Spokane via the scenic route. Beautiful small town, and wife and needed lunch.Order at counter a variety of sandwiches or baked foods, beverages, and fresh baked doughnuts, brownies, etc.Two local retired gentlemen, Mel and Carson, struck up a conversation with us and we joined them at their table. I suspect they are regulars there. They made our day.Nice little store inside, also.

We drive past Ray's frequently. Finally decided to go through the drive thru the other day to get milkshakes and they were INCREDIBLE!! I had chocolate peanut butter and my hubby had vanilla and our friend had thin mint. All three were fantastic and creamy! Can't wait to go back again to try the food!
Sunday night in Dayton, we flipped a coin for one of the few restaurants open in downtown Dayton & made the wrong choice. My wife ordered a chicken strip sandwich - it came with 3 very, very thin chicken strips that didn't cover the bun/bread. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich - the taste didn't resemble what I expected. The hamburgers come with fries, these sandwiches came with a small bag of chips & we couldn't even pick what kind of chips we wanted. It seems like their specialty may be pizza - might be better than their sandwiches. The cashier said they had been open a couple months & the next day was their grand opening - we wish them well, hopefully the quality of their food will improve or they will be out of business in no time.
