I visited this restaurant with my friend Cody on the Friday before a Blind Crow show in Glenville, New York. The music was a nice mix and quiet enough for chitchat. I had the caramel apple strudel, and it was very good, and then I had the Angry Orchard hard cider, and it was very good as well. The service was very good, and it was overall a great experience.

Eat on North is a casual restaurant that is seasonally inspired and locally sourced. Our dining menus of flavorful American cuisine are available for lunch and dinner. We feature an Oyster Bar serving delicious shellfish and oysters, and an amazing select
We got off to a great start, walking into a very attractive restaurant with lots of brick and beautiful wood to be greeted by a charming and engaging hostess. It was all too rapidly downhill from there. The menu is a bit limited and certainly not imaginative, unless meatloaf qualifies. The waitress was either totally untrained, completely unaware of normal helpfulness, or on drugs. We've certainly had the occasional brusque, abrupt waitperson, but she was neither. She just wasn't communicative initially about simple things like bringing bread and then took a very extended break from our table, necessitating flagging down other helpers.Besides a very good bread, the food itself was ordinary without much flavor. There was at least an ample quantity to fill our stomachs. The best part of the dining experience was a very fine duo who started playing music at 8. It was at least small redemption.Dear portlandorer, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, we encourage any and all feedback that will help service our guests better and create a positive dining experience. I would like to apologize that your experience with us on this evening fell short of that level of service we so diligently try to strive for. In reading these reviews we always want to continue to train and move forward if the guest experience is not as it should be. Having said that, I will certainly pass along these concerns to our kitchen and serving staff so that we may rectify any further shortcomings. I personally would like to extend my direct phone line if you would like to discuss the matter further. We hope that you'll come in again so that we can make things right for you on your next visit. You'll be happy to know our new Fall menu will be launched by then and perhaps you'll take a look and be more pleased with our selections. I agree with you wholeheartedly that the our bread is delicious! Hope to hear from you. Deanna L. EspositoRestaurant Operations ManagerEat On North413-553-4210

Had lunch here with my family. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger, the lemon-chicken salad, and a fish fillet sandwich with fries. Burger was okay, came with chips that were all broken into small pieces. Salad was all iceberg lettuce with a couple of tomato slices, one slice of pepper, a few small things of red onion, and chicken that was diced in tiny pieces, didn't taste like lemon at all, and was not that much to begin with. The fish fillet sandwich was pretty tasteless and the fries it came with were barely a handful. Service and decor were nothing to write home about either. An overall disappointment for us. I don't think we'll be back any time soon.

District Kitchen & Bar, nestled amidst the bucolic Berkshire HIlls, serves contemporary American cuisine with gastropub influences. The surrounding region boasts a rich food and agricultural culture of which the restaurant takes full advantage by offering
We had just taken in the First Fridayâs Artwalk in Pittsfield, during which we were fed various appetizers and wines. Also, we had already picked up dessert for later in the evening, so all we needed was a small/middle meal. This place fit the bill. We were seated within a few minutes of entering the restaurant, a bit close to the door, which concerned us because the day had turned cool. But the staff was very conscientious in making sure that the door was closed promptly behind every party which entered or departed. We were comfortable. Our server greeted us immediately. We ordered hot teas, the Public Salad and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich which was served with either fries or salad greens, we chose the salad greens. Our tea came quickly, we were provided a large variety of teas to choose from. Our meals were not far behind. The salads were extremely fresh greens, great ingredients and a tasty dressing. The chicken sandwich was moist and flavorful on a tasty ciabatta bread. The dressing on the sandwich was an eggplant and and red pepper spread which was very flavorful. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Came in for a 'quick' lunch after doing the craft show. We try to support locally owned businesses, not chains. Once seated our waitress brought over a coffee and tea quickly, then...we waited...and waited. People all around were being served even ones who came (and ordered) after us. After half an hour, we managed to ask her where our salads were; it was extremely difficult as each time she rushed by or stood near the kitchen, she refused to make eye contact and wouldn't recognize our trying to signal her. When she finally dropped our salads off, she ran off before we could even ask to refill my husbands empty coffee cup or warm up my now cold tea. We had no water and he had to eat his meal without anything to drink. Finally, as we were finishing, she asked if everything was ok. While the place was busy when we arrived, the rush was over before we were served; it wasn't that it was so busy she couldn't help. Why we bothered giving her even 15% tip , I don't know.We will NEVER return. We should have just driven on to Ozzies- always good, friendly and attentive.
We like the ice cream served here in the funky spot across from a river dam and paper mill. Good flavors, limited choice which varies from day to day. The server [there is rarely more than one person working] is friendly and offers samples. It is a bit pricey, but it's also the only game in town. The only downside is the erratic hours. It is in an out of the way spot in an old building which houses a real estate office, tattoo parlor, a couple of vacant storefronts and a local watering hole/restaurant. It also changes ownership rather often. Go now before it closes again.

Looking for a nearby bite to eat and decided to try Paddy's as it just reopened after a personnel change; we were not disappointed. I had the steak tips which were very tender and cooked to perfection, (med. rare), in a very tasty sauce. Others had parmesan dishes which they enjoyed, and a flatbread buff. chicken which was also good. My only complaint is that salads are extra, ($5) but the dressing was delish. Will return soon!!Thank You very much for your review. I am happy that you enjoyed your visit to Paddy's.I think I have solved the only complaint that you had. We now offer a side salad for $2.50 with any entrée. Hope to see you back soon.

Five of us from north county had stood outside watching family participate in a high school track meet down the road in the cold and rain. Walking into a warm wonderfully repurposed venue was terrific! Great decor. Check out The website for photos. Nicest waitstaff very helpful and they knew their menu and were happy to advise. We had different dinners from the Wilted Spinach Salad to The Beefeater with their house-smoked brisket and a variety of their other offerings. Amazing. Drinks and wine really well done and the choices of beer was delicious. As a huge perk each first Thursday of the month they present the Berkshire Jazz band - 15 members strong! Amazing sound. Totally entertaining. We are going to be seeing a lot of The Shire. They know how to do things right!

Dewey's is such a little gem! Great food with a wide choice of options on the menu. The shrimp starter with chilli sauce is great. The burgers are brilliant and super fresh. The chicken wings are AMAZING!! Best wings I have ever had! Service is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Would definitely recommend visiting Dewey's!
