Reviews on American food in Dallas, Texas, United States. You may have all heard that everything is bigger in Texas. Well, Dallas does its best to fulfill that promise. You'll find several museums with vast art collections and fascinating specialty museums like The Sixth Floor Museum/Texas School Book Depository, which, though small in size, offers an immense amount of information about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And of course, visit a local steakhouse for a terrific (and enormous) meal.

Loved this spot in uptown Dallas. A historic building from the early 1900âs hosts this fine shrimp and oyster establishment. We enjoyed cold beer, boiled shrimp (cold), and a dozen oysters with a great side salad with 1000 dressing. Yum.I would come here again and again and again. Simple decor all about the food!

We really like Trulucks as the menu has great balance. Had some friends in and went again. Food as always was excellent. The Sonoma salad is a must have as are the has browned potatoes. The few disappointments were in my steak came out raw when asked for Med Rare, and they ran out of the special (at 6:30pm on a Sunday night). Waiter told us we took too long to order. REALLY! It was 6:30 and no advanced notice on short supply. That was disappointing, but it didn't take too much away from the food taste. They fixed the steak spot on, but my wife had to switch to the tuna and that was fairly average.

We recently dined here after a play in Dallas. Service was very attentive and the food was very good. Portions were quite plentiful and we had food to take home. The cocktail and wine list was very mice. The bread basket and flavored butter was very good. All the soups (French Onion, clam chowder, and lobster bisque) were delicious. The shrimp cocktail consisted of several huge shrimp. The lobster & crab cake appetizer was very tasty and had a side or corn relish. The ribeye steak, tuna tartare, and scallops were all excellent entree choices. The warm chocolate cake and coconut pie were most enjoyable desserts. Our meal was very good - very expensive - but enjoyable. I am not certain that the cost of the meal is warranted, but we did enjoy it. This is a great restaurant for special occasions.

This place was packed we arrived around 9:30 am there was a 35 minute wait for 2. I really wanted to eat here because of all the great reviews!By the time we were seated we both decided to get lunch instead of breakfast. I ordered the pot roast that was recommended by food network channel, we ordered the onion rings , a half order of poutine (since it's on my bucket list for food) , and my hubby got a classic burger. We got the yelp check in cookie treat which I got the chocolate chip cookie with brownie inside which was good. The decor is pretty cool and hip . They make these delicious looking pies , cookies, and homemade ice cream . The food came my hubby didn't enjoy the bun so he tried to eat the patty but said it seemed like a frozen patty â! My pot roast was tender , the mashed potatoes were yummy and so was the horseradish sauce. The gravy , carrots and green beans were not the best . They were edible though the weird piece of bread it was all served on was quite yummy. The poutine never came by the time the waitress noticed we were already eating our entrees so we told her to cancel it. All in all it's a fun hip spot with okay lunch food the breakfast going out did look pretty good but in my opinion not worth the wait!

We arrived in Dallas ahead of the Eagles-Cowboys game. The hotel Shuttle Driver suggested Kenny's for an early dinner at 5:00 pm. This is a very food mid-prices steak and seafood place. The 1 pound crab cake app is the best! We loved the experience so well that we booked an 8:45 dinner reservation the next night. A very busy place for locals. Book early and explore the menu. The service is very attentive and the pace of dinner is comfortable. Love the bread puffs - a staple.
