It is an excellent restarant, a breath of fresh air in the whole vicinity with its creative menu. The French-trained owner has successfully designed a new concept of serving food which iis influenced by French, north African, Middle Eastern as well as American cuisine. Combined with the historical significance of the building & its tasteful restoration, eating experience in Grass Rootes is truly amazing. The only criticism I will offer is the ridiculously small and outdated-shaped wine glasses they used on New Yearâs eve. Come on guys, you make us cross the ocean, dont let us get drowned in a stream!!

My husband and I picked Elder's because it was close to our hotel and boy are we glad that we did. The food was amazing, reasonably priced, had outdoor seating and the sweetest server. My only regret is that we didn't order more food to take with us. Hubby had brisket plate while I ordered corn bread and chocolate cake. Hushpuppys were awesome too.

Stopped here for lunch and loved the wait staff (professional, courteous and friendly)...we both ordered the shrimp po' boy; shrimp perfectly cooked with a bit of spice and the meal included hot, freshly cooked French fries....yummmm. I would recommend sitting in either the front of the restaurant or the back bar as several of the middle tables are in the way of the constant back and forth of staff coming and going from the kitchen; was just a little distracting and made it a little difficult to converse. Will definitely return when in the area; great little place for delicious seafood!

Enjoyed coffee and cake at this establishment. Very small interior and sat in the cafe's covered walkway to eat. Flies were a bit of a problem but easily swatted!. Interesting foods and drinks to take away or give as presents.

Full service restaurant below urban style, luxury apartments. Parking lot available on Stevens St. we feature a beer garden/patio dining option and American fare with a flair!
Ate dinner here on our recent mini-vacation. My partner had the chicken & waffles which looked and tasted pretty amazing. I had the shrimp pi-boy (pictured). We also had an an appetizer -Cowboy Bites, which was an extremely small portion for the price (about 5 pieces)Pineapple jalapeño margarita was yummy! This place was a recommendation from our hotel staff. I would say it was ok. Not a lot of options for dinner. More of a sandwich/fries place.

We recently stopped in while driving through Culpeper. Everyone in our party ordered sandwiches and they were all good. The tea is true southern sweet tea. The service was good- our waitress was very nice and attentive. The AC inside the cafe was just a little chilly. The diner is very spacious with booth and countertop seating. Cash only, but there is an ATM.

We did not think we would need a reservation on a Monday evening, arriving before 6:00. Only two of the 10 downstairs tables were in use. An hour later a reservation would have been needed! We continue to consider the Piedmont our restaurant of choice in Culpeper for special events and they have yet to disappoint in food or service. I wish I could cook my fillet and have it be as wonderful as their chef seems to do. Our waitress, Christine (sp.?) was outstanding - keeping my coffee cup full throughout the dinner. As I and many others have noted, the restaurant is in part of a former hardware store (one I did business during it's hardware years). Just a wonderful evening.

If you're ready for a new fine-dining experience, it's time to visit Foti's Restaurant in Culpeper, Virginia. The superb service, delicate flavors, and extraordinary wines rival those of the finest restaurants in the Washington, D.C., area. Indeed, owners
We were out in the Sperryville area on a Saturday visiting one of our favorite wineries and wanted dinner, so we looked towards Culpeper, since itâs not too far up the road from Sperryville (not too far in a âcountryâ way). We noticed that Fotiâs came highly recommended on these types of review sites, so we made reservations. Because (during our research of Fotiâs on the web) we noticed that they recently won an award for having the best bartender in the area, we definitely wanted to stop in at the bar before being seated at our reserved table for dinner. Upon bellying up at the bar we were instantly greeted by Jamie, the bartender⦠he was very friendly and helpful and very sincere about offering amazing service. We ordered a couple of cocktails to try before dinner and after chatting with him and seeing how great he is at handling his bar, as well as customers at the bar, we decided to enjoy dinner with him, at the bar.He perfectly described each dish⦠his knowledge of the menu was amazing! The menu at Fotiâs is also amazing, as itâs an interesting and eclectic mix of Mediterranean and other smokey flavors with American dishes. An example was their house-smoked Feta Cheese Dip with lightly fried pita chips and a curried yogurt dip in the center â SIMPLY AMAZINGâ¦. It was also PERFECTLY PLATED and TASTED AWESOME! We tried several amazing dishes, including their Bistro Steak with the add-on of scallops (which were cooked PERFECTLY) to create a surf & turf⦠the steak was incredibly tender and melted in mouth! Their filo-wrapped curried chicken was really nicely done! Their wedge salad with âMexican street cornâ style corn on top and salsa was awesome! We did work hard to save room for dessert⦠The dessert we cose tasted pretty good, but not on the same level of all the other amazing courses we ordered! (But it was really good!)The only issue we might have and itâs not much of an issue, is that we wish they had more to offer for wine and definitely for wine by-the-glass⦠especially in the way of big reds and maybe chardonnays too.Overall, we REALLY ENJOYED our evening here⦠We stayed a few hours, at the bar the entire time⦠Foti (Frank) even came out and greeted guests at the bar and was very sincere in chatting with guests. We canât wait to return, definitely for happy hour sometime and definitely to enjoy one of the amazing burgers we saw so many enjoying while we were there.

The food was bland and the service was terrible! My husband and I went for our anniversary and we were practically ignored the whole time. Constantly had to ask for our server if we needed anything. Our steaks were over cooked and tough. Very disappointed.
