Find out what American restaurants to try in Cruz Bay. St. John’s vibrant main town and port, Cruz Bay is home to most of the 28-square-mile island’s restaurants, bars, stores and dive centers. Two-thirds of affluent St. John is a national park, and many safari buses and jeeps set out from Cruz Bay. Don’t miss local art and history at Elaine Ione Sprauve Museum or the pristine sand of Hawksnest Bay, popular with snorkelers due to its nearby reef. There is no airport; ferries connect the town of 2750 with other U.S. and British Virgin Islands.

Only open a few nights a week with live music on the beach. A very good happy hour for drinks. Wish the kitchen was open but by the looks of things it might be a while. Drinks are served out of a temporary bar set up near the beach.So....knowing our situation, you feel that what we are able to do with our temporary, post hurricanes setup...providing adult beverages and live music(at our expense) on the beach only rates 2 stars? We are doing everything we can to get the entire Beach Bar reopened. SMDH!

The Tap Room is the location of St. John Brewers brewery and brew pub. We create award winning beers and sodas on location at our brewery that supplies our 24 draft line brew pub. Come relax in our A/C bar or two outdoor patios while enjoying your day on
There were three cruise ships in yesterday and a few hundred scheduled tourists for Sapphire so Val, Jeanne and I took the ferry over to STJ.After walking around stopping in stores we wound up in the Tap Room for some cold drinks. I love beer on tap and so tried a flight of some of their beers. It was all good.It was Val and my first time there and we found a very comfortable atmosphere with a knowledgeable and helpful bar tender. Weâll be back!

We stumbled upon the Sun Dog Cafe and loved it! The atmosphere is great, the food and drinks were delicious. We will return again and again.Exactly. The Sun Dog Cafe is squeezed into gracious Mongoose Junction almost as an afterthought, although our bar overlooks the center courtyard, the tables and kitchen quietly blend into the beautiful architecture. And when you're there, it has a certain unassuming intimacy, a casual and easy going feeling. Thanks for the review and we're glad you "stumbled upon" us. Hope to see you again soon.MichaelSDC Proprietor

The Lime Inn restaurant is located in downtown Cruz Bay and has been a favorite between locals and visitors alike since 1984. Our goal is for you to sit back and relax as you enjoy our delicious cocktails, hand-picked wines, and cold beers while sampling
Surprisingly, this was a canopied outdoor restaurant but, also surprising was how good the food was! The ribs were the hit of the night. We were just sorry that they closed for the season before we could come back for a second meal in August. We'll definitely return on our next St. John visit!

fun little bar. we were here for happy hour and also for breakfast before boarding the ferry. both times we could have hung out longer if we had more time. The drinks were good (both for happy hour and the coffee for breakfast). The entire menu for breakfast looked great. lots of good options. friendly bartenders. nice little outdoor bar.

We went at breakfast time and I was so happy to find a place with real "real" food - edamame and homemade potato chips to name a few. We got breakfast sandwiches, hashbrown patties and a few other things. Big plans to come back but we did find it a little late in our trip. The only draw back is that it is cash only and we were starting to run out. If we were to return this would be high on our list for provisioning and regular meals or picnics. The food was GOOD and the menu was so fresh and healthy sounding. The person we interacted with was very nice and polite, too. GO HERE!

What a great spot for drinks and dinner. Weâll be back. Korena served us well and was a great person to talk to, plus she explained drinks and food so well. The seafood stew was excellent and the tacos were really good too.

So excited that Extra Virgin is open again after taking a break after low season. First night open and they are right back into the swing of things, doing everything with excellence, as usual. Service=impeccable, love sitting at the bar where the service is amazing and everything came out super fast. The spinach salad was delicious and as usual the shrimp and crab pasta was heaven with every bite!!! Thank you again!

View is great, service is fine, but the food is nothing special, and no locals seem to eat there. Happy hour but one get one is decent, but the regular priced drinks are quite expensive. To say locals don't eat here is a false statement. Locals eat here daily at night and to go food. Currently we are on slow season, on island and half of our customers are locals. They mostly dine on the weekends, when they are off work. If you search around other Restaurant on island, you will find our prices are a lot more reasonable. Thanks for you input.

Rum Shandy is located in the heart of Frenchtown in the U.S Virgin Islands. Fresh Lionfish tacos from the Frenchtown docks. Serving Daily Lunch, Dinner Specials and Cocktails all day long.
Service is great... taco night was stellar, only problem, our party of 8 waited over an hour for tacos... ON TACO NIGHT! We didnât order anything spectacular... just tacos. Taco, meat and toppings.Perhaps if they staffed properly, there would be no issues. I donât typically leave bad reviews, but this is a note to management more so than to visiting patrons. Definitely a place worth visiting and the food is great, but donât give your staff more than they can handle or you will end up with hungry and unhappy patrons. One person in the kitchen is not enough. Help your staff make you money and you will see a return. Or donât and see your local following go somewhere else. Thank you for your honesty. We are currently looking at our staffing and working on how we can provide better service. What time were you dining?Thank you
