We were staying on the edge of town and didn't want to ever eat at the usual chains nearby. We felt lucky to find this place and enjoyed being there. We chose to eat what we see as real American. By this I mean ribs and some accompaniments. What we had was good value. A choice of number of ribs, 2 sides and choice of bread. I'd never had corn bread. Really it was like a muffin but the mac & cheese and black beans, sour cream and onion very good. To my palate the ribs tender but more sweet and less savoury than we would like. The person serving us was very helpful when we asked for advice e.g. What was the honey and the butter to go with.
The Grove Café and Lounge has been a Cottage Grove Landmark since 1950. Offering all day Breakfast, Fresh Local Beef Hamburgers, Homemade Soups & Salads, and of course our famous Groovy Cocktails. Come sit in our comfortable lounge and enjoy the game on o
We wanted a local place, and this fit the bill. We got there close to closing time and were the only ones there. JR welcomed us and told us about the special. Menu is small, with a good choice of sandwiches, burgers, chicken, etc. Food was tasty, service very friendly, and dinner very inexpensive. A good choice if you aren't looking for a fancy restaurant.

Looking for a breakfast stop and found the Koffee Kup. Typical small town diner where all the locals eat but don't tell you about. standard fares, lots of food but a little pricey for the area. Had the senior's breakfast, large biscuit with gravy, one egg and one slice bacon for $7. Biscuit was fresh, gravy was commercial and bland. Rest of breakfast okay. Coffee could use some updating to a better quality, but it is what is advertised. Lunch and dinner foods much better.

First time to visit Cottage Grove. As we walked around town we discovered Axe and Fiddle. What a great find. A wide selection of craft beers. The meno had several delicious sounding items to choose from. We ended up with the salmon chowder. It was excellent. Can't wait to go back to Cottage Grove for another visit. We will try the hamburgers next time - they looked terrific.

While traveling, friends and I stopped by for a late dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was reasonably busy but there appeared to be only one waiter working, plus one cook. The food service was extremely slow, apparently because of a backup in the kitchen. The solo waiter was working his tail off and did an admirable job of trying to keep hungry people happy. In the meantime the salad bar was soggy and something less than appetizing. Once our food finally arrived it was adequate in taste but certainly nothing special. The side veggies were canned and tasteless.Iâll be looking for another stopping spot the next time Iâm passing through.

One of the best restaurants in Cottage Grove. We drive over 1/2 hour just to eat there!
It's not super cheap, but not super expensive either. It takes only a few minutes for them to make the food, although, if there is much of a line, it can take a while for you to get up to the cash register to order. The menu is on a huge chalk board, easy to read, and the service is nice.

I bragged about the Lounge in my write up about the Village Green facility. The coup de grace was the restaurant, especially the service. Try and get Genevieve as your server, if you can. She is beyond excellent. Being on the road for two weeks and having eaten at numerous establishments, this place and that young lady get my nod Try The Lounge if you are in the area, you won't regret it..Hi PudgeWashington,We're happy to hear we have your excellent recommendation! We hope you'll stop and eat with us again.

Tired of driving and eating fast food, my husband and I decided to explore the Historic District in Cottage Grove to find a decent sit down restaurant. We scored when we spotted people coming in and out of Stacey's. The restaurant sits across the street from the town's covered bridge. Who knew that such a small town would have its own covered bridge! Everything about the evening was a pleasant surprise-good food, good service, a varied menu, and decent ambiance, plus a covered bridge to wander through after dinner. It was a relaxing and tasty meal after a long day of traveling.

Bustersâ has a Hotel on Main Street in the cool little town of Cottage Grove, OR. Loved it! In 1929 Buster Keaton filmed a Silent movie their called The General. He stayed at the hotel that is now apartments above and cozy little diner on the bottom floor! Awesome daily specials! I had a âKetoâ burrito made of fried cheddar cheese and pulled pork. Wife Eggs Benedict. Didnât get the CBD optional hollandaise sauce. But what creative and tasty meals and specials! Definitely worth the few minutes it takes to get to the adorable little down town of Cottage Grove. Highly recommend! There is a separate private room for gatherings as well!

We were looking for a vegetarian restaurant going up I-5 in Oregon between Grants Pass and Portland. Jack Sprats filled the bill! It has numerous interesting vegetarian dishes, as well they have a great cheeseburger. We also tried the quinoa salad and the sprat rolls. The quinoa salad was awesome with the additional hazelnuts and coconut lime dressing. The also have great prices on local beers! Service on our first visit was great, second visit not as good, but that would not keep us from returning.
