Having had a superb experience (meal, ambience and service) at the Ruthâs Chris in Manhattan, we were expecting this to be similar. Unfortunately it didnât live up to these high expectations. The steaks were OK, but a little chewy. The service was friendly, but the server completely forgot to bring us our wines - throughout the whole meal. The GF choices were surprisingly limited given itâs a steak restaurant. Overall, it was OK - certainly not a bad experience - but given the elevated prices we expected an exceptional experience.Thank you for your feedback, Ellis. Plums Café and Catering has been a local favorite for over twenty years. Tucked away in a corner of Costa Mesa, Plums friendly staff, unique menu, Northwest-influenced cuisine & down-to-earth ambiance keep patrons coming back again and again.
Plums is consistently outstanding. The serve delicious, high quality food, and offer great service. We enjoyed breakfast there this morning and ordered our usual favorites. My husband had the crab and asparagus omelette, and I ordered the Oregon Trail, substituting their spectacular raspberry pancakes for the regular pancakes. We both had a cappuccino, and my husband enjoyed their freshly squeezed orange juice. Plums is the best breakfast option in the area. Enjoy!

This restaurant is a rare combination of a steakhouse serving prime meat with an excellent variety of seafood options, particularly fish. Really liked the atmosphere. It had a nice vibe to it. Soft shell crab was in season so I started with that. It was delicious! Nice size crab and perfectly prepared. My wife started with the burrata and heirloom tomato salad. A couple of things were wrong here. The burrata was nothing more than mozzarella called burrata. They showed us the product and it did say burrata but more of the commercial mass produced variety. Authentic burrata is a very fresh cheese with an outer mozzarella layer and a soft gooey interior that doesnât have a long shelf live. The other thing was way too many tomatoes in proportion to the amount of burrata included on the dish. But enough of that. We both ordered steaks and they were delicious! Perfectly cooked with excellent flavor! I had a 22 oz rib eye and my wife a 12 oz filet. We sampled each otherâs and both of us really enjoyed each. Btw, the bread served was very fresh, warm and flavorful. Service was attentive, friendly and on point. No room for dessert. We had a wonderful evening and definitely will be back, we just wonât order the burrata salad next time. They did comp us on the salad which we really appreciated. Next time will try a fresh fish!

A once-every-couple-of-years reunion with old friends over dinner at Water Grill. The setting is lovely - a large, covered open air space with multiple bar and seating areas. A bit noisy, but that's normal for the size of hte restaurant.Entrees were black cod kabayaki and softshell crab, along with a couple glasses of Veuve Clicquot and a bottle our friends brought from home (no corkage was a big plus!). Excellent food, great service and the company of old friends. What could be finer?

This is a casual dining place, but be not deceived, the food is really good. It is both a seafood market and a restaurant. We came here for lunch and thorough enjoyed everything we had. My mom had the grilled salmon salad; the salmon had a wonderful crust on it and it was just right. I had the halibut; it came potatoes and asparagus and there was a pesto sauce over the halibut. It'w wonderful eating halibut that is moist and tender and this one was cooked just right. We also shared the ahi tuna appetizer; it was seared and served with seaweed. It was a light and refreshing dish that I ate alternating with my main course; it turned out to be a nice balanced meal in terms of temperature, flavors, and textures. We had the tiramisu and it was good but not nearly as good as anything I had in Italy recently. Next time, I think I'll try a different dessert. The service was good and prompt and attentive, particularly at keeping the water glasses topped off. I'll look forward to eating here again.

Seasons 52 gets five stars for everything one looks for in a restaurant. The menu is extensive and very reasonable for an upscale establishment. Servings are generous and the service is outstanding. Try the flatbread or the salads. The Sesame Grilled Salmon salad comes with a piece of salmon thatâs a meal itself without the salad!

We always look forward to their "Waru and wine" event each Fall and this time is no exception. Receiving an early bird invitation we got there on Saturday around 5pm to availability in the lounge. Our foursome they occomadated by pushing two pub table together which made for a comfortable arrangement. The red wines they are pairing this year are exceptional. We were able to taste all three and you can't go wrong with either the wine or burgers. Don't miss this event only running for six weeks. Quite the culinary bargain. and as always service is spectacular.

One food adventurer and one less so wandered into this place just off of Newport Blvd on 18th street. They had something for both of us at breakfast, I had the "Fried Egg" and expected the items to come deconstructed on the plate...nope they were stacked but it was good. My friend had regular food and the potatoes looked sort of bland being so lightly cooked. I would go again and try some other items on the menu. Keep up the good cooking and pleasant service. Think about adding some sound proofing on the ceiling please.
