Cloudcroft is a village in Otero County, New Mexico, and is within the Lincoln National Forest. The population was 674 at the 2010 census. We returned and dined with a friend, but the bbq wasn't as good as it was last year. The cole slaw and beans were bland. The brisket and pulled pork sandwiches were just average. Not very many folks dining in the place during lunch hour.
Fresh, made from scratch and to order Soups, Entree Salads, Sandwiches, Freatured Specialties and Fresh Baked Heritage Bread. Portions are ALWAYS generous with only top quality fresh ingredients. Family owned and operated with Award Winning Executive Chef
Small restaurant, pleasant owner, good "from scratch" global cuisine from various countries, a bit pricey. No table service... order and pick up from counter. Street parking.

We visited on a roadtrip with my grandkids. Stopped in about 9pm for dinner enroute to Alamagordo. Restaurant was cleaning and somewhat welcoming. Waitress was very nice but I noticed when she was more friendly she got a look from the owner sitting at bar. One of the kids never got water. Food took 20 minutes or more. This type of service is very typical of New Mexico, where locals are catered to and visitors are ignored. It's weird but what I expect when visiting NM. Now the food was really good. I had meatloaf with potatoes and grilled squash, kids had spaghetti, chicken sandwich and tacos. No issues with food it was worth the wait.

Visited from Chicago with family party of 10. Had to wait one hour for seating...ordered several pizzas which also took another hour to be served. The beer is very good...specifically had the Train wreck beer. Pizza was OK at best, but I'm from Chicago so not much compares. If they sped up service I'd give it a higher rating.

Had chile cheese burger and fries that were very good. Also good ice cream. The only drawback was it took a long time to get our food. They had a sign out front saying they were hiring for almost all positions so they must have been short handed or they have a small kitchen. Food was served fresh and hot so it had not been sitting on the counter waiting for pick up.

Beautiful place, courteous waitstaff, and great food made for a perfect dining experience. I had pisole and chicken soup followed by chicken fried chicken. My gf had a reuben sandwich. All was very good.

Full Service Restaurant located 9000 feet above stress level in beautiful Cloudcroft, NM 88317. Clean and friendly, large menu, lots of specialties. Can accommodate large groups.
We stopped because the parking lot was full and we figured it was a great place to eat. Well it was ok but I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich and it was way over cooked to the point of looking like shoe leather. My husband had fried chicken and said it was good. I also ordered Cherry Pie ala mode. The pie was good but the vanilla ice cream was pretty bad and I am an ice cream lover. I donât know how to describe it, just no taste and wasnât worth eating. Think we will try somewhere else next time.

We stopped in here for lunch mostly because we saw the huge line up out front and knew it must be good! A little gem in the middle of a beautiful scenic drive. Well worth the stop in. Wonderful BBQ Brisket and other BBQ specialties. Huge portions and the price is fair. Sweet staff and lots of fun.Thank you! We definitely want it to be fun! Iâve never intended it to be another restaurant. Itâs a bbq joint, for me itâs like a backyard bbq with friends and family. Life is too short to not have fun! Thanks again for the great review, Iâm glad you had a good time!
