A unique downtown dining experience. Located on the corner of Third and Wall Streets in downtown Chico, Christian Michaels prepares California Cuisine, Italian, Mediterranean, Asian and other seasonal dishes to tempt your palate. Selections include fresh
So many places these days fall into the casual dining arena, with TVs on the walls and a hectic pace throughout the restaurant. Christian Michaels is a pleasant return to a fine dining experience. While there are times I want the sports bar experience, there are also times I want a nice dinner, white table cloths, and a quiet enough surrounding that I can visit with my dining partners. I highly recommend it for that special occasion, or when you want to unplug and spend some quality time visiting. And yes -- my favorite dish is the meatloaf. There are several great items on the menu, but none better than the meatloaf.

Meet up with some family and friends for a lunch at Pour House. Easily located and found by this "out of towner" Parking was easy in this cluster of strip malls sort of sandwiched together. Choice of indoor or outside seating. Beautiful day so we went for the outside. Very Nice. Service was excellent. Appears to be a very popular place. My classic burger was "branded" with the PH. Neat little touch.

This is an annual stop when we visit Chico. If you can't decide between the Memphis style, "philthy phils" or Carolina style, get the rib sampler, but I'd recommend the two latter kinds. The Brisket sandwich is delectable. All the sides are good: creamy slaw, tasty beans and perfectly crisped fries. This is good BBQ folks. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Mom's is a MUST visit in Chico for breakfast or brunch. They are always busy and that is a reflection of their service and food. From the sweet breakfasts to the savory, we are never disappointed. Our kids always ask to go because they LOVE the eggs, bacon and pancakes, not to mention the fun goodies for them to play with.

My daughter wanted to take me to her favorite restaurant unfortunately I was not impressed. Small plates grilled vegetables were excellent but the only good thing we ate. Meatball-meatball was dry and not very flavorful, good thing there was sauce. Standard fried calamari nothing special. I was not impressed it wasnât busy my daughter said her meals before have been good. Hopefully it was a one time experience. Enjoy!!!

Whenever Iâve passed thru I always make it a point to stop at Sierra Nevada brewing. Besides having some great beers since the 1980âs their taproom menu has always pleased. I was sorry to see that the 16 sampler tray is not being served anymore so I started with the Estate Grown IPA which was dynamic in flavor. I then did a one of their 4 taster flights just in time for my spinach dip app and my bbq wood fire pizza. Everything was great. I had another Estate grown IPA to finish off my meal. I then walked over to the self guided tour and gift shop to round out my stay. My waitress was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Hard to not love this place and their beers once youâve come here. The taproom itself is also quite something to see with a nice patio area.

We are a locally owned neighborhood restaurant in Downtown Chico. We feature USDA Prime Beef, market fresh seafood, homemade desserts, extensive wine list and full bar. We have a banquet facility available for private events as well as outdoor patio seati
This place was a very pleasant surprise. The exterior is rather unassuming, but the interior is like an old-fashioned speakeasy. We were warmly welcomed, and our server was attentive and pleasant. This is a pricey place. It is expensive not just by college-town standards, but by any standards. Personally, I think they charge more than what the food is worth. That being said, the food is very, very good. I had a small steak. It was cooked perfectly. I also had the creamy horseradish sauce, which was delightfully spicy! My daughter had the chicken, and she loved it. We also shared a creme brulee for dessert, which was quite good. So........great food, but high prices.
