We have been to Chatham several times and have noticed this restaurant sitting next to a small grocery store. The view from the street is not too impressive and you'll not be too sure you'll want to go in until you take the plunge and open the door. WELL, the place is spotless and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. It is a meat & veggie place with many other items on the menu. The day's specials were delivered on a piece of note paper with scratches through items that were sold out. I had a four choice vegetable plate that was perfect for a real hungry person. Three would have been enough but then I would have had to leave something off. My spouse enjoyed her hamburger and side salad. They offer a salad bar in a couple of different versions. The bar had a good selection of items but nothing exotic. I could easily make a meal on the bar.Out server was a big help as we were under a time crunch to visit our granddaughter. She expedited the order, being friendly the whole time.The decor is rather plain and the food is plain good. Don't look at the pies out for display. It is an evil trick designed to make you order two at once. I sure wish we had had more time.

Restaurant is in beautiful old home, fireplace in dining room made it nice and cozy. Hostess and server were very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Food was good. Ordered filet mignon, was tasty and correctly cooked to order--I prefer a filet that is thicker (this one was pretty thin). Overall had a great meal and enjoyed celebrating our anniversary. Topped it off with dessert and coffee.Thank you for visiting us! Please come back again soon!
