In a vacuum, Alexander Michael's is a good restaurant. Yet, considering it is rated the #11 of 2,000+ restaurants in Charlotte, I fail to see the allure.Eating with family, my children split the fettucine with marinara. The sauce was extremely oily for a marinara style sauce. I had a London Broil sandwich which, while okay, was somewhat dry. I think some sort of au jus would have made the sandwich 10x better. My wife ordered a burger which she thoroughly enjoyed. But, if we're rating a top end restaurant on the quality of its burger, what's the point?Perhaps the best part of the evening was the ambience. Given its reputation, one will most likely have to wait for a table. However, my wife and I ordered drinks and enjoyed the quaint neighborhood.

My group and I went to this restaurant because it was recommended by a friend and it came up on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Ordered the Corn Dog Shrimp Basket and made my own burger. Absolutely loved the burger and beer! One of the waiters wasn't too friendly but the others were just fine.

Carpe Diem is a fine dining restaurant located in Charlotte, NC. We are in the historic Elizabeth neighborhood near downtown Charlotte. We have been open since 1989, but have moved twice due to downtown business developments. We are now in our third incar
We came here for a business dinner with 6 people. From the outside it did not look too spectacular but directly after entering you knew that you are not in one of the average restaurants in Charlotte. Nicely prepared tables and great overall atmosphere. Our waiter was pretty attentive and friendly. And I pretty much like when I have the feeling that people like what they do. And with him I had this feeling. He gave honest recommendations and all of the various foods we tried following his recommendations were delicious. The carrots, the chicken, the pork, the ginger sorbet, .... very good.I have nothing to complain about sine even the price tags are very fair considering the quality and amount of food you get. We didnât even tried the dessert, which sounded great as well, as we just could not eat more after the main course.

It's hard to believe that The Melting Pot has been on Kings Drive for 25 years! During that time, we have become known as a favorite restaurant by many in Charlotte and the surrounding region. We have built a solid reputation of phenomenal service through
Revisiting a former special occasion venue, I can say that this restaurant has succeeded in maintaining consistently high quality with a standardized menu. The fun is in the fondue - it is more about the socializing over the unique food preparation and serving than the food itself. All of the selections are top-grade, fresh and delicious. If you want to enjoy the real deals on "package" dinner courses, don't eat earlier in the day! It's all too good to pass up and guaranteed to fill the heartiest appetites. If you are a Charlotte resident, they offer great special treats for your birthday too!

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff is amazing! The food was just ok. The lobster bisque didnât have a lot of flavor. The lobster Mac and cheese which was one of the dishes I was looking forward to was dry. There were nice size pieces of lobster but the overall dish was dry. The steak was also a little dry even though I ordered it medium. I donât think anyone in our party felt like we just have to come back here. I can say I tried it.

I've been here numerous times. The BBQ is consistently wonderful. The sides are too. I would rate it in the top three BBQ joints in Charlotte, if not #1. Great service and atmosphere too. I go to the one in Plaza Midwood. It's always packed

Chef-owned and operated, The Fig Tree Restaurant is located just minutes from Uptown in a beautifully restored 1913 bungalow. Chef Zanitsch's cuisine is Country European with an emphasis on wine pairing. The wine list is not only award-winning but also af
We had made reservations for dinner for our anniversary. When we arrived we were wished a happy anniversary numerous times which was very nice. We dined in the upstairs dining room which only has 3 or 4 tables, so it was quiet and romantic. Our server Gary was excellent and made great suggestions. He provided the perfect amount of attention without hovering. We started out with the agnolotti appetizer. It was the only miss for us. The sauce and filling were wonderful but the pasta was very dry and not very warm. The sauce was great with the bread they served. The salads were fresh and tasty. My sea bass and lobster and my wifeâs scallops were amazing. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We shared our meals so we each got to enjoy them both. We agreed they were both fabulous. We also shared the peanut butter graham cracker pie with marshmallow ice cream. It was divine. All around a wonderful meal and perfect location for a special day.

We were running late to a show and checked to see if we could get a quick drink and apps. Our waiter was quick and informative, coaching us to order calamari and truffle fries. The Cosmo was smooth while the other cocktails were quite tasty. Thank you for being so accommodating!
