California Coastal Cuisine - with three dining environments that are anchored by a central, experiential oyster bar and live-fire kitchen. The menu is fresh, local, simple and high quality.
The good oysters are fantastic but pricey 3.25 per oyster, grilled octopus, one of the best Iâve ever had perfectly grilled and seasoned. The pork chop thick juicy, very good. Now the bad had a $45 veggie pasta special that was very poorly seasoned, couldnât eat it, no one at our table liked it. The service was very slow and unattentive. We were served apps with no plates, had to wait 20 min. to order drinks and they were 1/4 full, there were plenty of bodies around, just not our table I guess, pricey, but anything from the wood grill worth it.

The city of Salinas has several attractions for residents and visitors to experience, from the Mazda Raceway to the National Steinbeck Center. Of course, youâre going to build up an appetite â and thatâs where we come in. The Black Bear Diner has a wide s
I have visited this newly located Big Bear Diner twice during this last week. I was satisfied as always at a Big Bear Diner. Extensive menu with good wholesome food. The parking is great and the service was very attentive. A little bit expensive for breakfast but it is a good option that can always be counted on.We had a long wait during our first visit but got right in for our second visit. Good for any meal.

We have gone to Ticos Restaurant for years and every meal that we ordered was excellent. The service is excellent too. We have also purchased some of their homemade jams and enjoyed them at home. This is an excellent place for both breakfast and lunch. It makes me happy just thinking about Ticos.

After other family members had gone here and on our way back from SoCal we stopped for dinner at 7:35. The board listed that chicken and ribs were out so we tried pulled pork and brisket because they were also out of tri-tip. The pulled pork was mushy and almost all fat When we mentioned this to the server she said âit is all like that nowâ Still debating about going back and currently the inclination is no. The parking is a bit of a challenge also and that should have tipped me off. I rarely write negative reviews but I need to advise my fellow diners.

On our way to Monterey, we ate lunch at the Lighthouse Harbor Grille. The house made clam chowder bowl was delicious as was my husband's burger. He added avocado and he said it was great. The bun was really special; it looked homemade, and if not, tasted like it. All of our food was fresh and quickly served. As an added bonus, right next door was an extensive produce stand were avocados we 6 for a dollar!

Eating at Phil's is a great dining experience. Have never had a bad meal, Love the clam chowder. Super time after after trip there at Moss landing. The fish & chips are my favorite but you can't go wrong with anything. Terrific Staff who are always willing to make it a positive experience!
I stopped at Subway for drive-through breakfast. The lady taking my order was very nice and helpful. I don't know the Subway menu offering and BOY are there a lot of questions on how you want your food! She was very patient and explained every choice clearly (what kind of bread, what kind of dressing, what kind of veggie, what kind of meat...). Very nice team. Would return.

This literally is a trolley car, converted to a café and catering business. I did not actually set foot inside, but have had their catered sandwiches on at least three occasions. Each is piled high with meats and/or veggies on hand-made bread, and the flavors and textures are hearty and wonderful. Highly recommended.

My husband & I wanted fresh artichokes so our hotel in Carmel recommended this restaurant. As we drove up, we hoped that the food was better than the exterior of the restaurant but found the interior just as unimpressive. But all of this could be overlooked if the artichokes were good. We started with a steamed artichoke which was dry. Then did the artichoke plate with artichokes presented in different ways-fried, in a wrap, in nachos & a steamed one with so much balsamic vinegar on it that it totally frowned the taste of the artichoke. We could hardly eat any of it. What a waste of artichokes!! Find another place to get artichokes. We even stopped at the adjacent vegetable stand & were astounded at how bad their fresh artichokes looked.
