Worth seeking out. First of all the staff were very helpful and informative. The menu is basically burger but you can just about create anything There are different meats, different breads, different fries etc so basically the choice is yours. The quality of the food was excellent. In addition Nickel produce (not on the premises) craft beer. The location is excellent right on the corner of the square so you can relax and watch the world go bye. This location is an evening / night location not too much open locally daytime. The tortilla here is fabulous, thick and moist. A €4 “tapa” and it is a big tapa is more than enough for most people. The burgers are not good. The veggie burger is dry and unpalatable, the beef burgers are massively undercooked, if I’d wanted steak tartare I’d have ordered it. You’re going to be spending about €20 per head for a drink, a starter and a burger and nice as the view of the tor de oro is, you can get the same view for free by just stopping to look at it. So, go to Toby Eats the World, eat the tortilla, drink a beer while admiring the view, Leave and find somewhere else for the main course.

El Americano

Reviewed By kittyqat

We have visited El Americano on several occasions and always been impressed with the food and service. Unfortunately today (30/8/16) we were very disappointed. The waitress was obviously overwhelmed with the number of customers and took quite a while to take our order. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for part of our order to appear. The children's chicken nuggets were not as good as before and were more like chicken dippers. The salad arrived and again was disappointing and not as good as before. We waited another 20 minutes before the rest of the order was delivered and then had to wait another 15 minutes for the children;s ice cream, we felt we had been there forever. On another note on previous visits the restaurant has been very clean but this time the floor was very dirty and the overall restaurant didn't seem as clean as before. The children love visiting this restaurant but I will think twice before taking them back again when there are so many other good restaurants in Tomares.
