Things to do in Canton
The bowls are great. Good size helpings and can edit ingredients when needed. Several options to choose from on all salads, bowls, burgers and sandwiches. They always have a seasonal side that is usually pretty good. Last month was roasted corn in the cob. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Good for lunch or dinner -single , work and family are welcome.
We were looking for a new lunch spot and found Toasted Oat Cafe in Canton. It has cute raw-edge tables and a clean, sparse style. I ordered at the counter and explained that I had food restrictions. We paid about $23 for two sandwiches and two drinks. I poured my own coffee and reached for the skim milk, but they only had full-fat milks. When I got my sandwich, it had a generous slathering of mayo, even though I asked for mayo on the side. This place didn't work for us. I went home and ate cereal. Truth.

We stopped in for a hot meal on a cold night. The hot sandwiches were good and the hot chocolates with sprinkles and giant marshmallows were great. Sitting near the fireplace added a little winter atmosphere too. The total was a little more than expected but we still had a good meal here.

Joe Pizza in Canton delivers but also offers a sit-down restaurant, which I recommend. Lunchtime during the week isn't too crowded, and service is friendly and efficient. Today's selections included the Meatball Salad ($11.95) and Eggplant Grinder (half portion $8.95), as well as the fried pickle chips. All food items were appetizing and well-prepared. I will happily return if I have the time to return for lunch.

Had a perfectly cooked burger, excellent Jamaican jerk wings, Naughty Nurse Ale, Mac bites and a Steak Bomb. All delicious, was not too busy so service was fast and excellent.

Lasalle Market is still a wonderful place to have lunch and sit and relax. Very casual dining room mismatched tables and chairs that make the space interesting. Lots of local folks. Displayed in the dining area are works of local artists for sale. Food is very good. We shared a portobello sandwich: nicely prepared on very fresh bread. Great coffee and great selection of other beverages. Pizza baked in house available. Great lunch spot.

So going to the same old same old restaurants in the valley is getting boring but not Francesca's. Had one of the best meals ever last night. The service is beyond friendly and helpful. The gnocchis with white truffle cream sauce was spectacular. The scallop special was to die for. My wife had it with the risotto that was offered with the Halibut. It was great. The halibut also was awesome. The wine prices are very reasonable. Love the quaint atmosphere. It is perfect. Hope it does not get too busy when people find out about it.

I love this place because it is casual, colorful and a little hippie-dippy. The food is fresh, organic and everything is simple and tasty. They highlight the local farms that supply their goods, and they make the ingredients shine in their finished products. Itâs fun to watch them cook in the open ovens, too!

Haven't been here in quite some time, it was as good as I remember....no wait and our server, Lauren was very attentive. The fried oyster appetizer was outstanding. We both chose a "special" (although that didn't mean a special price and price is not mentioned when the specials are read) I had a generous piece of salmon with a BBQ glaze and mango salsa over mashed sweet potatoes. Very good. My husband had a creamy lobster and shrimp combo over pasta, also good, very rich. The family style salad was crispy and fresh. Bread appears to be homemade. Unfortunately, we didn't save room to try dessert. The crowd on a Tuesday night speaks to their success.

I requested a seat outside because itâs a beautiful day. I was given a menu. 10 minutes went by during which two other parties were seated outside. A waitress finally appeared And proceeded to take the order of a couple that arrived after I did. After taking their order, she looked right through me and proceeded to take the order of a group that had also arrived after me. I pointed out to her that I had arrived first, At which point she asked me what I wanted, and I said nothing. As I got up to leave I heard this waitress and the larger group laughing. Not so much as an apology for leaving me sitting there for 10 minutes as if I were invisible. I will never eat here again. Extremely rude service.I am sorry that Caitlin did not approach you first when she got out to the Deck. Unfortunately our bartender scheduled for Thursday lunch called out sick forcing Caitlin to set up the bar and the restaurant with help from me. There were a number of customers who had just sat at the bar and tables inside the pub when you walked in as I was leaving to pick up some plant at a local nursery with a landscaper who had arranged to take me to the Nursery and help select plants at their annual customer appreciation day. Of course being short one employee puts a strain on service and we did manage to get another server to come in early to help, but he did not arrive until 30 minutes after you left unhappy. After I sat you, I did seat two other groups on the deck and Caitlin made it out within a couple minutes, not 10. Caitlin intended to get everyone's orders on the deck before returning inside as that is the most time efficient way to work. I am sorry she approached the first table that closest to the door she came out rather than asking who was sat first. She told me that she did apologize three time to you and I believe her. She is a little meek sometimes and you may not have understood her. I don't think anyone on the deck was laughing at you. People do joke a bit to relieve a stressful situation as when someone is upset and leaves abruptly. When I gave you a menu I thought everything was good for you. I wish I had taken your order to get things started for you, but I was distracted by our landscaper and project I needed to complete that afternoon. If there is anyway I can make things right for you, please contact Scott at the pub.
