I took my friend here for her birthday and everything was wonderful. We got the Victorian Tea and there was more food than we could eat. It was cozy, relaxing, and so perfect when you want to escape the rat-race and relax with friends. The gift shop is chock full of well-priced lovely items - getting lots of compliments on the Dragonfly pin I bought. Can't wait to return!

Love that you can sit on the bar side, or the quieter restaurant side. Food was delicious, server was great. I had a reuben sandwich, with tasty fries, and coleslaw. Husband had the Canal Boats appetizer (potato skins.) Enjoyed the old fashioned, and contemporary Christmas music playing.

We read reviews and decided to try this place. It was a little hard to find because of the signage. We walked in and it was so run down we wanted to run. We were to hungry to do that so we stayed. The waitress was so friendly and the eggs were perfect. The sausage pattys tasty the sausage links not so much. If you can look past the atmosphere it's worth a trip to go.

Bocca Grande is a family owned and operated restaurant in business since 1991. We feature Italian cuisine, but offer a little bit of everything! We have a full bar and a children's menu...talk about full service! We are know for our awesome lasagna and
Four of us stopped in for an early dinner and sat at the bar. We were waited on immediately and served drinks. Our orders were taken, but after a few minutes I was told that the "dinner special" I ordered was out. I find it odd to run out of a dinner special at 5:30 PM. She suggested another entree and I agreed. The salads were good as was the freshly backed bread. I order mac and cheese as my side and it was very good. One got chicken marsala and she said it may have been the best she has had, the other woman had the lasagna and she said it was good, my friend had blackened scallops and he said they were good. My bone in strip was tender juicy and had good flavor but I did not really care for the marinade or sauce that was on it. I prefer just meat. We like to eat at the bar because normally this means our waitress/waiter is near by; this was not the case as ours waited on tables also in the bar and the main restaurant. We waited for our checks for quite some time before asking for them. Overall though, I would be willing to return as there were other dishes that interested me. Owner/bartender was friendly and courteous.
We have eaten here several times for a quick bite at lunch and for dinner. We continue to go back! Their patty melts and reuben's are very good. My husband enjoyed their honey dipped fried chicken. Their specialty is comfort food like meatlloaf, chili, etc. My one complaint is that their only lettuce is iceberg, so it is difficult to get a light, nutritious meal of soup and salad. With all that said, we will go back because their food is tasty anytime and during the winter, especially, the COMFORT food is delectable.
