We stopped here for lunch to go and ordered two double bacon Jack cheeseburgers and tater tots. After getting home, we discovered the burgers had no trace of bacon on them. None. Additionally, the burger patties tasted really odd ... almost stale. The tater tots were over cooked on the outside and under cooked inside. Not sure what's happened with Jack's but after going here for more than 25 years, we're really disappointed.

Bird Stop is a unique family operated business in Caldwell that is located in a historic old bank building. Good food, cold beer, wine and cocktails. Friendly staff with locally produced musical entertainment. All in what amounts to an urban environment. Highly recommended.

I had the finger steaks. Very tender meat and great breading. Definitely homemade, not the factory made gristly junk most places put on your plate when you order finger steaks. I had onion rings with my meal and they were huge with great breading. Nice building and we will have to come back in warmer weather since they have a nice patio. Service was great!

Ordered an 8oz steak cooked medium it came with mashed potatoes and soup of the day. The soup was an Idaho specialty cream of asparagus, very creamy and high quality. They offer pies. Vegetables could have been steamed longer. Mashed potatoes were nice hot and fresh. The steak was cooked perfectly and didn't need sauce my only complaint is that the steak seemed more like a 4 oz rather than an oz. Table service was adequate and polite. the place was cozy clean and everyone seemed pleasant.

I enjoyed the meal except for the french fries (not made from fresh potatoes at the restaurant- seemed like Sysco type). The Spicy Nashville Chicken was done just right. The Pastrami Sandwich brought me back to New York City, remembering Katz's Deli., it was really good. I was disappointed with my server as she seemed to ignore our table. I was pleasantly surprised with one of the other ladies (Shawana) that was answering phones and making sure we were taken care of even so she was not our waitress. Shawana and in general the food would be the reason we would come back and eat there again, certainly not the waitress we had. P.S. If I had to rate Shawana and not our waitress I would have given our service rating EXCELLENT... also Food except for the french fries would be EXCELLENT...

We just didn't feel like cooking and didn't want anything fancy either. The Sunrise fit the bill perfectly... again. I ordered the shrimp dinner and Aimee ordered the deluxe bacon cheeseburger. We both ordered onion rings and I also had the fruit bowl. Aimee's burger was outstanding. My fried shrimp were excellent, much better than expected for the price. The onion rings were very tasty and the entire bill, including generous tip, was under $25. The Sunrise is one of the best deals in town!

The halibut portion was a tad small but delicious and well worth the price. Service was impeccable and the tables and booths are spotlessly clean. From what I had previously heard, the overall bill was surprisingly inexpensive. We got there at 5:30 (glad we did!) because by about 6:30 the place was packed! The do take reservations though. We'll most assuredly be back.

Visit Indian Creek Steakhouse in downtown Caldwell for the best hand-picked & hand-cut steaks, seafood and chicken cooked over an Applewood fire that you can see from your table. Two kitchens, two bars and two dining areas; your choice. Live music on sele
I eaten here a number of times since it opened. Initially it was a smaller restaurant with somewhat limited seating. Recently it has expanded greatly. I preferred the smaller, quieter setting but I am not a huge fan of country western music which is played at this restaurant regularly. I do, though, enjoy the steaks. They are smoked and luscious. The cost for most items is reasonable. This is just a great place if you want to immerse yourself in tasty steak. Go and enjoy yourself.

The Orchard House is a convenient stop if you are out doing winery visits. It's a fun location with its own personality, including outdoor seating. All sorts of desserts great you at the door which kept them in your mind for later. The menu offerings are American, finger steaks, fish and chips, etc. Our party had both and they were well done. But, be prepared to wait for your meal as it took quite awhile. Service staff are friendly. Apple and berry pie had to be ordered and taken with us. Well worth the stop.

We recently moved to the area and thought we would try Mr. Vâs. The food was fresh and everything we ordered was delicious! Our server was friendly and went out of her way to welcome us to town. Canât wait to go back to try the cobbler. Welcome to our community! We're so happy to hear that you came in to give us a try and had a great time. You most definitely do need to come back for a cobbler - the marionberry is a local favorite!
