Firstly, Iâd like to say the food was excellent and the atmosphere was astounding. We were coming through headed home from the beach and everyone really enjoyed the dinner. Secondly, I just want to take a second and speak on what I witnessed here on this night. Christina and Nikki were our waitresses. They were very friendly and worked well together, ensuring all customers were taken care of. About half way through our dinner a group of people walk in and the young waitress walks up to the table and greets them with a smile, asks how their day is going and thanks them for choosing Berryâs to eat. This is when it goes down hill. Quickly. The guy tells this waitress that he isnât very hungry, he just wants to eat a little bit off his womanâs plate and says he wants to just be charged for 1 buffet. The waitress kind of caught off guard says something along the lines of, thatâs not allowed and offers plate options. The girlfriend of this guy leans over and whispers something in his ear when immediately he cuts the waitress off and tells her that she needs to get Carol on the phone now, Iâm assuming this is the owner, stating he was good friends with him. I wasnât able to hear what she said clearly but he ended up letting that go. Then he proceeds to let this waitress know who his father is. âYeah. The mayor of this town is my father.â The waitress, still just smiling says something about them looking alike when all of a sudden this schmuck tells her to shut up three times. Getting a little louder each time. The waitress noticeably uncomfortable, gathers their drink orders and then walks away. A few seconds later, Christina comes over and tries to take their order. He starts up again and says something about calling Carol again. He says a few other arrogant and rude things but he is consistently greeted by patience and polite responses. I loved the food and the atmosphere but I mainly have to compliment these two young ladies. They handled this with such class and did not let it effect the service to their other tables. We really enjoyed them and hated to see them get treated so terribly by this table. We also had the privilege of finishing up the same time they did and noticed nothing left on the table and heard them leave a big tip of zero dollars on the card as the girlfriend laughed about it. As for the mayor of this town, you need to teach your entitled son some manners, especially when talking to women. Heâs too old to be acting in such ways and treating people that way.
Everything on this buffet which featured good Southern Home cooking was good. The restaurant was clean and wait staff was very helpful. Buffet included all the typical southern eats such as fried chicken, fried catfish, bbq ribs, meatloaf, vegetables, rice, mac n cheese and many more.

Our chefs take great pride in developing their menu from scratch. Much of the day is spent freshly preparing elements of the meal including stocks, sauces, and dressings. Our steaks are hand cut daily. The fish are hand selected. The produce is supplied b
What a fun place!! Lots of families seem to gather here after church. There was a buffet as well as ordering from a menu. A live musician played from a corner stage as well as wandering through the tables of diners.Service was friendly, helpful and excellent. Food was plentiful and very good.A fun, lively and friendly place. Try it!!!

This is not a fancy upscale steakhouse but a good country steakhouse. I got a bacon wrapped filet and my wife got a t-bone. Both steaks were cooked to the proper temperature and had a good smoked flavor. The waitress was very friendly. The salad bar is basic but good. The slaw is excellent with the sweet flavor that you find in many catfish restaurants in the south.

worst food and service I have experienced. Food may be cheap but that is the same you get with the quality. Servers are not really interested in doing their job
We serve up hearty portions of premium meats sliced in-house, hand-shredded cheeses and imported ingredients, scratch made sauces & dressings and fresh fruit & vegetables chopped in-house every day. All served with a generous dose of hospitality. Our Kitc
The low rating is because I ordered wrong and I asked for help from two servers and could not get it. Newks is famous for their Half and Halfs. Both my husband and I got a half sandwich and a half salad. When we got up to order we found out that the only salads available is caesar and simply salad. That was disappointing but we went ahead and ordered. He ordered a half of a club sandwich and I ordered the shrimp poboy. The club was good. My shrimp was tasteless. The bread was over toasted and really hard for me to eat. The shrimp were sauteed or grilled with no seasoning. It was served with a cocktail sauce. I asked the server to bring me some remoulade sauce. They serve a shrimp remoulade salad so I thought this was a reasonable request. She never returned. After 5 minutes, I went to the take out counter and asked again. I was offered White Barbeque Sauce and Honey Mustard. Neither of which was enhancing to the sandwich. On my Caesar salad the dressing was so vinegary, I could not eat it without going to the toppings bar and getting some olive oil to tone down the vinegar. But as I said, we were eating with a group of new friends from church and their lunches looked awesome. The lobster and crab bisque looked really good as did the pizzas that surrounded me. As I said I should have gone with my first instinct and gotten soup and salad. I should have asked more questions and made less assumptions. I do not care for this style of ordering because I am indecisive and I feel pressure to order because people are behind me.

It's off the highway, but not hard to get to. Plenty of parking. Friendly and quick service. The fish was cooked right--not greasy like some places. A good variety of sides, some specialty sides cost about 50 cents more. Daily specials and specials for seniors. Condiments, etc handy. Relatively clean. We stop for lunch when passing through Jackson.

I love love love love this place. The food is amazing, the actual restaurant is in impeccable shape, and the staff is friendly and lovable. I love the salads and sandwiches and even the soup is wonderful. I recommend this restaurant because I can't say anything negative about it.

Went to see a band. Had a great time. Nice patio out back. Lots of pool tables. Only ate appetizers. The loaded nachos were very good. Go back to check out the steaks.
