Ko's Restaurant is one of the best Chinese/Canadian restaurants on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Located in the heart of the downtown core, Ko's serves food for anybody in the family. With a wide variety of options including, noodle dishes, rice dishes,
This is a Chinese restaurant in a small town. People order combination plates. They are ok and they are substantial. No small portions here but this isn't Chinatown in Toronto so don't expect the world. Now what they do well is:Singapore Noodle: Order it spicy. It's good and it will feed two people easily. The shrimp are small but there's plenty of chicken, bbq pork and veggies.Egg Rolls: If you like curried, meat egg rolls. You'll like these.General Tao Chicken: Order it spicy with a side of steamed rice. It's good.Ginger Beef: Order it crispy and spicy. It comes with rice. Plenty of ginger. You're on your own with the rest of the menu. Hit or miss. Oh, and my wife likes the wonton soup. Also, Angela is a good waitress. She has plenty of experience and doesn't suffer fools. Which I like.

We took the family to Wendy's for lunch -- I hadn't been since I was a kid a few decades ago, but it was all exactly as I remembered. Their signature square hamburgers were as good as I remembered (better in my opinion than Macdonalds or the other fast food hamburger chains), and you can't beat their Frosties for dessert! Service was fast, prices very reasonable. Recommended if you're looking for a good fast food meal!
100% Canadian since 1959, we have a long history of proudly serving Canadians great tasting burgers. Each and every burger is charbroiled to perfection at 600°F on an open-flame grill. The rest is up to you, we let you choose from a selection of fresh topp
The burgers at Harvey's are made just the way you want. The condiments you want are put on the way you want them. The fries and onion rings are also really good. It's a good place for a fast meal

Iâve been to Jacâs numerous times. The food is excellent and the service is fantastic. Theyâve come up with a business model that Bridgewater desperately needed. The servers and owners are to be commended for their attention to detail and friendly nature. You wonât get a better milkshake anywhere on the South Shore and their burgers...simply divine! Also, everything is very reasonably priced and big portion sizes! On this particular visit, I had the Daniâs Island Burger and it was so tasty! There isnât anything on the menu that I havenât liked. Highly recommended!Thank you so much! We love what we do and are so glad that our family can bring so many other families together for an affordable and nice night out. See you again soon!

Off Hwy 103, exit 12 6 minutes past Walmart
Iâve been here several times. Earlier this week, I enjoyed the Turkey Burger poutine which was phenomenal (ask to substitute the fries with sweet potato fries - at no extra cost - SO GOOD!). For dessert, I had coconut cream pie which was absolutely divine. The service was good and the portion size is huge! I also highly recommend their massive banana split ice cream sundae: bring a huge appetite or several people to help you! Best value on the South Shore.

We were in the area for the day and decided to stop in for lunch. The waitress was cheerful and friendly and made you feel welcome. The decor was bright and split over 2 levels. The walls were lined with shelves filled with books. The special of the lunch was turkey burger with stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and fries for $9. Hubby ordered that. I opted for the warm chicken and spinach salad for $12.They were very busy and it did seem to take awhile for the food to arrive. My salad was delicious and just a nice size.Hubby did not care for his turkey burger. There was a spice or herb in the stuffing that overwhelmed everything. (I tasted it...it was strong)The turkey burger was obviously popular. At least 90% of the plates I saw come out of the kitchen were the daily special. If we went back..we would try something else for lunch. But I did like the waitress, the menu and the ambiance.

You walk through the Esso convenience store to find this small diner. Entertainment is provided- with a TV in the corner- but also by watching the staff. Many kitchens are likely run in the same way except that you usually can't see it all. The short order cook is amazing. She moves swiftly and is very good. She keeps the place running- doing all of the cooking and some of the waiting on tables. The waitress handles cash and then without washing her hands prepares salads. A food handling course would be advisable. The place is not clean enough. Tables were not being cleared. And when they were cleared, no one wiped them down before new customers were served. The food was good but until it is more professionally run, don't try this place.

Glad we checked out Trip Advisor and came across this placeâ fantastic food and great service. I had the Bacon Jam Burger with a Greek Salad... absolutely delicious! I ate every morsel. My mom has the Jalapeño Burger and Mixed Greens Salad and she ate every bit of hers as well and said it was scrumptious. We finished off our meals with dessertâ I had the Maple Pecan Cheesecake and my mom the Lemon Meringue Parfait. Both were to die for. And great coffee as well. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. It was hard to decide what to order because it all looked delicious and house made. We will be back! Definitely worth stopping in if youâre in the Bridgewater area Thank you for stopping in and for your wonderful feedback. You can't go wrong with our burgers - I always have a hard time myself deciding which is my favourite! We are very lucky to have a great culinary team and Chef and I will be sure to pass along your feedback. Thank you again and we hope to see you in the future!
