Reviews on American food in Bocas del Toro Province, Panama. An archipelago off the northwest coast of Panama, Bocas del Toro is an eco-tourism favorite with English-speaking and other tourists traveling to this Central American country. Seven islands (including Isla Colón, Isla Carenero and Isla Bastimentos) comprise the land area, with Bocas Town its regional capital and the “big city” for those looking to shop, dine well, and explore nightlife. Adventure lovers will find plenty to keep them occupied, as scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, surfing and hiking are first-rate. And if you’re more of a tour-goer, never fear—Bocas del Toro offers a host of them, ranging from sailing to Nivida Bat Cave tours.

I read the reviews, was told by friends this was a must to visit, so we booked for 5 days, I think 2-3 days MAX. Very small area to navigate, variety of eating options, got bored fast. Spent evenings feeding street dogs and cats. The business community and owners who live here need to communicate and make a plan to: Clean up this town of garbage everywhere, have feeding stations installed in the Main Street to feed dogs (where visitors can contribute food as well)See pic.The repair and clean up of each property, a bit of paint goes a long way...right now...it feels like the whole place has given up! This affects your profit and reputation! Think about improvements and this could be an amazing place! We found the shop keepers too aggressive, let people see the choices...after 1 day we stopped looking in shops and businesses because of this!Limit the amount of garbage containers but most important...really limit the amount of plastics coming here. We will only return and recommend if changes occur. It is obvious these are issues here, as 1/2 the town has FOR SALE signs on...no one will buy here until changes happen.

We are a small restaurant open for breakfast, brunch and lunch; days and hours change regularly by season. Our taco menu changes often, based on ingredients available in town and weekly specials...always tacos, just tacos. We like tacos. There is just som

Bar & Restaurante Chavela serves a unique and eclectic Caribbean inspired menu for dinner on Isla Bastimentos, Bocas del Toro
The prices were pretty good, food was tasty. The napkins are held in giant sea shells which is pretty neat. Limited seating, go early if possible. We were one of the first people there and it quickly filled up. We ordered the chicken and pork caribbean dishes and both were quite good. I liked that they offered breadfruit as one of the side dishes too as I had never tried it before. It's a little bit of a walk down a narrow path, but not too bad.

The only Tequila Bar in Bocas! Happy Hour Every Hour!! Awesome Food The largest liquor selection in Bocas Craft cocktails and much, much more!! #tequilarepublicbar
We absolutely loved Tequila Republic....it was our first stop upon arrival and our last spot before leaving. The owners take great pride in what they do and it shows. We love the smaller menu too as they make a small number of items but make them so well!! Love the tacos, and especially the crunchy wrap!! They also have several games that are enjoyable to play while drinking! We would definetly recommend this place to all visiting bocas town!

Stayed next door at Turtle Beach House and ate 2 dinners out of 6 at Island Plantation and most lunches at their beach bar across the street directly on the beach, which is also great to chill and watch the surf. Friendly and warm staff and service, great pizzas, and also best Pina Coladas I've ever had!Dear Healthk7,Hello and sunny greetings from all of us at Island Plantation!First, thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experiences with everyone! The Bar is 200feet out over the water with clear blue waters, colourful live coral, and spectacular snorkelling. There are two swim/tan platforms for customers to utilize with stairs going down into the water to make it that much easier. There are 2 chefs
My wife and I plan a day trip to the Blue Coconut on every trip! We go to Bocas at least twice a year. the Blue Coconut, like many places in Bocas, is laid back, has good food, and drinks'o'plenty! The humidity getting to you? Take a dip in the water while sipping a cool beverage! Hungry? The meals are excellent and presented well. If you are looking for fresh lobster, pull one from the water and have it cooked! We always meet the nicest people here and have a blast! The food is good, the staff is very friendly, and drinks are great!Do yourself a favor and get to the Blue Coconut. A short water taxi ride from town!

Skully's is a beach front Restaurant & Bar with a great variety of food, good vibes, ice cold beers and drinks and a seaside swimming pool! We are waiting for you to join us! Don't miss it...
Skulls is nice because it is off of the beat and path but I was disappointed. For some reason I thought they would have cheap Panamanian food. It was all typical US food and expensive. A hamburger is cheaper at playa tortuga. The atmosphere reminded me of a biker bar in the states but on the beach. It just wasnât my cupOf tea.
