Enjoy the charm of a rustic, old trading post with exposed timber and beam ceilings, clay plastered cob walls, and Navajo and Anasazi inspired murals and floors. Antique lights and local art add to the warmth and romantic ambience of this distinctly weste
Definitely an expected treasure in the middle of nowhere. Fresh delicious food cooked to order. Not the Cisco frozen stuff. Friendly, true hometown flavor. They work hard and it shows. They close at 3 for lunch so please plan accordingly. Worth the effort to find.

The Cottonwood Steakhouse serves delicious, flame-grilled, USDA choice steaks. We also serve BBQ, chicken, fish and chops, as well as vegetarian selections. Dine indoors or outdoors in our courtyard under our beautiful cottonwood tree. Choose a craft beer
We are here after a long day of hiking. The waitress recommended the seafood kebab, the steaks and the ribs. We enjoyed the food so much we returned the next night. The ribs were outstanding, as were the carrots and potatoes. We ordered a slice of pie to go. All homemade. The owner visited our table and made guests comfortable. The silverware is rolled in red bandanna which guests can take as a souvenir. Very cute place. Thank you so much for dining with us and for your 5 star review! We're happy you enjoyed our food and came back for another evening. Thanks for noting our food is homemade. We will pass along your comments to the team who are doing the 'homemade' work. Thanks again.

Eateries in Bluff are not exactly plentiful. This one is right on the main road and obvious to the traveler, and it is accordingly popular -- at breakfast, excessively so, as tour buses descend on it without warning (so the friendly and apologetic staff told us) and swamp kitchen and servers alike, particularly for breakfast. If this happens while you're there, you're likely to have a bit of a wait. Foodwise, it's quite acceptable, with an interesting regional flavor as well as standard American comfort food. The fry bread in my Navajo taco was a bit tougher than I'm used to, but okay, and everything else was fine. Prices were a bit high for what they were serving, but it's a remote area, and nowhere else in town appeared to be better. We ate here several times on our trip and recommend it, but if you see a bus outside and are in a hurry, it may not be the place for you -- although I don't know where in town is better.Dear Canbelto,Not sure how to respond, since your review was generally positive. Sorry, we work hard to manage the bus traffic, but are not always notified when they will arrive.Anyway, thanks for taking the time to review us.

I ordered a salmon which came with asparagus and mashers. All delicious. I tasted my fiance's sage infused chicken, which was also delicious. We had just spent three days on the San Juan River and were looking to have a glass of wine/beer with dinner. That didn't happen, because they are a dry establishment. We enjoyed dinner, then went elsewhere for desserts and glass of wine and beer. they do have a beautiful patio. Unfortunately, they are also closed on Sundays, so we had to hunt down a restaurant the next morning. I think that if you are a hotel restaurant, you should be open for the customers all seven days.

We stayed at Bluff Dwellings for 2 nights. Food at the Cedar Cafe was great. We had the margarita pizza and the french dip. It was amazing! We were able to sit on the patio and eat and enjoy the views! The staff is amazing, very friendly and professional! We will be back!
