Were up to Virginia for a bike trip and stopped at The Sawmill for lunch. Ordered bacon,Mac and cheese, JDBurger, salads and club sandwiches. Food was great, but we waited for over an hour. Unexceptionable!! The waitress was training a gal to be a waitress, and I would suggest that they do this on a week day!!

Most importantly besides the view and variety, the price is right. We ate out on the patio over looking the lake. Definitely would eat here again.

We ordered the prime rib special (which was very good) and chicken nachos. The chicken nachos consisted of mostly chips and lettuce, with little cheese and other ingredients, but since they were half off during a happy hour special, we didn't mind. The drinks were reasonably priced. The food was prepared quickly and our waitress was very nice. The restaurant is cozy and has big windows for looking out at the ski hills. Old and interesting pictures are hung on the walls of the restaurant and hallways.

Stopped by on a whim and glad we did! Great coffee and fresh breakfast. Inviting and interesting interior with roll-up door when the weather is warmer and comfy seats around to linger with coffee. Great food, especially the egg sandwich with lots of choices to customize including avocado and pepper jack!

Poor service and No communication. We walked in and they said we could sit anywhere. We sat down and received our water then waited over 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order. We then sat for 45 minutes and our waitress finally came up to us and said that “your order has just been put on the grill”. We said it would have been nice to know regarding the time. We just got up and left. It wasn’t that busy and as we were walking out a gentleman came up to us and said “ did you ever receive your order because we were there a long time just talking and noticed you guys were still waiting “. We told him that our food just went on the grill and we were so upset that there was No communication at all. Not professional at all. Would not recommend. Wasted over an hour of our lives that we won’t get back but at least I got to add Megan’s Family Restaurant to Trip Advisor.
