Off of the southern state at exit 57 south, PAINTERS' RESTAURANT, 10,000sq. ft of fun & the avant garde of restaurants. The walls are packed with art from ceiling to floor with the work of local and NYC artists; all for sale. The menu rivals the creativit
5 friends enjoyed our meal after attending show at Patchogue Theatre. The nacho appetiizer is HUGE,! We all agreed on the pulled pork nachos which was an Excellent choice! Marinated skirt steak and lobster quesadillas were both excellent. We were lucky enough to be seated in side room which is s much quieter than the main room which allowed for conversation. Artwork by local artists is always interesting. Our waiter was nice but inattentive. After asking for a 5th place setting and waiting 10. Inutes afer food was served,I got up and took a setting from another table. Had to ask 3x for a glass of water with lemon. Have been here several times and received better service.

Based on good reviews we decided to give it a try. We really enjoyed our 2 visits the past few weeks. The food is all made in house, including the breads. We enjoyed the artichokes, ribs, sea scallops, kale salad, crab cakes, and the drinks were awesome! Megan and Victoria took really good care of us and we we're pleased that the drinks were still great with a different staff member mixing them up during our return visit! Consistency is important and they nailed it. It's a cute little restaurant so plan ahead and get a reservation.

Friendly, clean and we intend to eat here more often. Take out the other day, JT's BLT and Melted Roast Beef on Garlic Bread with Melted Mozzarella along with Onion Rings. All excellent. Best surprise was the Vanilla Shakes. Filled with ice cream! Tempted to make them adult shakes next time by adding Bourbon at a modest up charge. Disappointed that Meat Loaf Sandwich is no longer on menu as it was the bomb! Might try Meat Loaf Dinner in the future. Can get crowded and parking a challenge but JT's has attendants in lot in past to facilitate parking. Doesn't have hardcore bar feel and vibe is more towards an eatery. Strong Recommendation.

Baymans best. Cup of chowders 1/2 dozen clams then baked clams then muscles and bread. Delicious. Sooo good. Very casual and local. Friendly and worth the stop. Check out the pies!
just opened a few weeks back. They had many customers inside for breakfast. Though they are still learning the quirks, they have a friendly staff willing to do what it takes to succeed. Very good coffee with a some exotic blends and coffee drinks, its well worth stopping by for breakfast or lunch. Dinner coming soon.!The owning was charming( Anamay I think ) as she stopped over to say hello. Her and her son in law, the chef, are making there dream a reality.Best of luck to them, as for you readers, go you wont be disappointed.

Coming Soon!
A friend had recommended this restaurant so we decided to try it during LI Restaurant Week. I had drivenby it many times and did not think a restaurant in a small strip mall would be anything special. I was wrong. We were very happy with the food - appetizers, main courses, and dessert. The staff was very attentive andprofessional. The interior décor was very attractive. The prices were reasonable, especially with the prix fixe, which they apparently offer in early evenings other than restaurant week. We plan to return to try some of the other dishes on the normal menu.

We had tickets for a 7pm performance at the Gateway Performing Arts Center (Memphis: don't miss it) and we stopped at the Royal Oak for an early dinner. We knew nothing about their weekend early bird specials. We received a very pleasant surprise. There was great variety on the special menu and each of us found something we liked. The service was excellent and we were able to tailor the special to our personal taste. The food was not only tasty, but there was enough for us to take home enough in our "doggy bags" for lunch and dinner on the following day. The next time we go to The Gateway we will certainly eat at Royal Oak.
This place is AMAZING! I've been there numerous times for breakfast and lunch and have not been disappointed once!! The staff & owner are wonderful! The food is creative, fresh & delicious! Best of all, it isn't overpriced!! The location helps a bit! Lol!

Fabulous, Perfect & Wonderful restaurant! The Food, service, price & atmosphere is stupendous! What more can anyone ask for during dinning at The Bellport! Always returning for more & never seems to disappoint. Bring your friends, families and more to The Bellport restaurant. Btw, only thing needs immediate improvement are the bathrooms. Especially the ladies room. Too small, too close and too dangerous at all angles. Needs immediate renovation especially the toilet is too close to the sink! Expand it & it will be ok, then!

Good food and big portions. The calamari appetiser was more than sufficient for two people. It was cooked beautifully and the addition of the pieces of pepper worked well. The meatloaf was very meaty with a tasty BBQ sauce that wasn't overpowering. The chicken pot pie was the size if a small fytung pan, which is how it comes served. It was good but lacked some seasoning. We also ordered an extra side - the sprouts with caramalised onion and pancetta. So good!I didn't feel I could give the restaurant 5 stars, however, as the service, whilst friendly and pleasant, wasn't very attentive. We didn't receive our complimentary bread basket, for example and the water glass I was given was broken on the edge along one side and almost cut my mouth.Nevertheless, it was probably just one of things and I doubt any diners will be too disappointed with their meal here.
