Went here on 3/24/19 for an early dinner. I had the Rib Eye, and my companion had the Baby Back Ribs. Both meals were well prepared and we enjoyed them. Service was prompt and friendly. The only downside was the presence of a party of about 12 VERY noisy women at a table on the other side of the room. Their conversation was so loud as to make us feel that we were seated at their table. It was VERY refreshing and pleasant to see this group leave the restaurant! After their departure, the atmosphere was much more pleasant. (Honestly, due to the noise in the room, we were prepared to leave the restaurant and go to a neighboring eatery. )

The best thing about this place was our bartender. She was very friendly. The food was just OK and took too long to arrive.

We love trying different places for breakfast and this one peaked our interest. The menu is quite extensive. I had to try their Irish Eggs Benedict: their homemade corn beef hash, on two English muffins, Hollandaise Sauce, two perfectly poached eggs, and a side of their home fries (some of the best I've ever tried). My friend had their French Toast and loved it, and my other friend ordered Phil' Veggie Home Fries. It looked and smelled so good, I might order it next time. We thorough enjoyed our food and will definitely come back. The staff was friendly and efficient. The booths were comfortable. The lunch and dinner menu look good too.

hickory wood grill, people magazine, food & wine magazine best in MA
A hot dog food truck - recognized by People magazine as Best in Massachusetts. (Online people called the hot dogs the best in New England!). Three versions of "dogs". I had the traditional with chili - Excellent! Great fresh buns from local Mazzarelliâs bakery. Spicy dog was spicy so be aware. Need to go back and try the traditional sausage. Lots of toppings - hundreds (thousands?) of combinations. Larry Joe is a treat - dogs cooked over wood fire - smells good, tastes great - worth the time. Spend it talking with Larry.

We went there this week. The lobster roll price is marked as MP (market price). I asked the price the for lobster roll. My answer was $28 dollars. That is overpriced. When lobster rolls at restaurants on the Rhode Island coast cost between 18 to 20 dollars, I can not see paying that money in rural Massachusetts off the coast.

We eat here often so nothing surprised us on our recent visit except our server, Paige, was terrific. Friendly service like hers really enhances a meal. I hope she's there next time we visit.

This place has real good beef sandwiches and many more other varieties. We had heard great recommendations about there beef sandwiches and their homemade chips. We were not disappointed. The place is cute and quaint with a nice older style counter and side rooms to eat in, they are very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is very friendly. Hostess was informative and gave us tasters before we decided what we wanted to accompany our selection.

Now that I have your attention. This was a fabulous breakfast! My friend had the Tavern breakfast special and I had the egg sandwich on a Portuguese muffin. Farm fresh eggs since we are close to all the local farms and as I said they make their own sweet sausage patties. The home fries had a wonderful Old Bay style seasoning and of course we had breakfast cocktails. I was so full but determined I was not leaving anything on the plate. The owner is a former catering chef in Boston and knows how to cook food right! Excellent meal and I will definitely return to try lunch and sit on the patio
