Sunset Cafe is right off the main street in Ballston Spa. Front Street has many food options, but Sunset Cafe is a great choice. The menu has plentiful Southwestern options - from innovative entrees to quesadillas to sandwiches. Everything we ate was flavorful. Food arrived at the table quickly. Menu is well-priced. Nicely sized portions. There seemed to be many locals dining there who return regularly for the tasty food with great service. We took a look at the wine list, and the pricing is very fair. Moderately priced wines by the glass and the bottle.

It was Fourth of July week so everywhere was busy with tourists. We called ahead to be certain they were open and arrived to a very busy establishment where we waited a short amount of time for a table. I was surprised by how many empty tables there were, but I guess they were short staffed so they did not want to overburden those servers that were on that day. They were still really busy as it was a challenge to get coffee refills. Nice standard diner menu with all of what you would expect. We were in no rush so the average wait for food was acceptable. Food was average good. Once again acceptable. When I stopped to pay on my way out I am still like a little kid and was excited to get my complimentary cookie. Suited my needs for the day, but will be in no rush to return when visiting the area.Hello, thank you for your review. 4th of July was much busier than we had expected it to be and you are correct, we were unfortunately very short staffed for the volume we saw that day. I wish we wowed you a bit more with our food and service but hopefully sometime you will try us again in the future and give us another chance. Thanks again for your patience on a crazy day!

This is the place to go in Saratoga Springs for a good (huge!) burger and cold beer. I like the IPA ales.....Obviously popular with the locals.Hint; there is a 2 story free parking garage right next door; we didn't have trouble finding parking on 2 different evenings.

If you don't want to look for parking in Saratoga Springs or Ballston Spa, Abeel's is located about 10 minutes west of both towns. It has a varied menu which should please all in your group...pizza, steak, pork, chicken, pasta. Portions are generous and well-priced. Service was wonderful.

Thick crust pizza, decent cheese and toppings (could have used more spices or flavoring - I love a great cheese blend and this one was only ok). But that crust!Good wings (not best "Buffalo style" wing but some fried with good flavor)

Exceptional quality food, expertly prepared in very interesting combinations, all Rey effective. Caught them in between beer stockings so too heavy on IPA drafts. Otherwise everything was terrific.

Druthers was a great place to find. It is snuggled behind a gate, quaint out door seating with flowers and greenery. They also had plenty of indoor seating. We shared their homemade house mac and cheese plus a turkey wrap. There was so much left over we took it back hotel and had 2nd opportunities that evening. The left over Mac and Cheese was even better the 2nd time around. We highly recommend.
