My husband and I decided to finally try this restaurant after hearing about it for a couple of years. Boy, do I wish we had tried it sooner! The whole experience was FANTASTIC. We consider ourselves "foodies" and my husband enjoys cooking as a hobby. But, even my husband was blown away by the incredible food. This chef can cook!We weren't sure what to expect when we first walked up the stairs to the front door, because it looks like a low key house from the outside and the sign was somewhat obscured from the road. But when we were seated and got our first course, we knew we were in good hands. And the pumpkin soup! Completely to die for. But it just kept getting better - crab cakes with different sauces to try, a filet prepared to perfection, fabulous desserts - each dish was lovingly prepared and special. The chef and his wife are wonderful hosts and we really felt like we were family. Their little daughter was there helping and would occasionally peek into the dining room at us and sing us a song - she was absolutely delightful. The chef would come out and check on us and answer questions about how he prepares the courses, using only fresh local ingredients. The pumpkins to make the soup were roasted that morning, for example. This is a restaurant not to be missed! Seek it out and enjoy!

I was in town to work the day at the local Shoe store in the mall and had to give Kiserâs a try. The food was good the sauce is unique the pulled pork good and fries were good done their special way. I am a very picky coleslaw person and Kisers is now one of the tops of my list!! Itâs a sweet with a little bit of kick just perfectly done may have to head south again just for slaw!

We have visited Shade on several occasions and always a great experience....until last Saturday. Deciding to try something different....I ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer and they were nothing more than mozzarella sticks cut into pieces and were more expensive. I also got a recommendation to try a soup that was supposedly based from a traditional New Orleans recipe. The only tie to New Orleans that soup had was it tasted like what I would think the Mississippi River would taste like. The trip ( 7 of us visited) was a total bust. Over-promised and over priced....and terribly under delivered.

Lots of parking. Big interior. Friendly greeting and quick seating. On seating, they give you a basket of super-soft bread rolls with cinnamon honey butter. Yum Works as an appetizer and/or dessert. Double yum. Along with the rolls, they plunk down a bucket of peanuts in the shell (people with allergies beware). When there is a wait, the waiting area has a barrel of peanuts so you can munch away. The service was good. Garden side-salad was excellent: fresh greens, good mix of veggies, crumbled boiled eggs and tasty croutons with a perfect Ranch dressing. The grilled chicken sandwich was huge and tasty. Steak fries are good. The beef tips, mushrooms and grilled onions were excellent. It was a large serving cooked perfectly to order. The side of mashed potatoes was terrific and the brown gravy was perfectly flavored. We had a TX Roadhouse in my neighborhood but it closed several years ago. It was a treat to revisit this one. Prices are quite reasonable They offer a Military discount too.

There were 6 of us and the waiter was so very friendly and willing to answer questions. I had an omelet. It was very filling. Everyone was happy with their menu choices. Sometimes you have to wait, but it was worth the wait.

Hot dog restaurant
Tiny little place (the latest in a series of "experimental" food joints in this location). Fantastic selection of hot dogs. Yum!

The Brewpub has 18 Jackie O's beers on tap and a delicious, locally-sourced menu. Founded in 2005, Jackie O's Brewery has evolved over the years to include an experimental Brewpub, Public House Restaurant, Production Brewery & Taproom, Bake Shop and the B
We were in town for a few hours and visited Jackie O's to taste their seasonal offerings. The seasonal CHOMOLUNGMA was right on target for my taste buds. With only a half and hour available, we tasted a few "samples" and vowed to come back the next time we were in town. Knowledgeable and courteous staff.

We had a great experience at Cutler's. Was visiting for a work trip and decided to stop into such a highly-rated restaurant. It did not disappoint! Kara was a great waitress with great food and wine recommendations. Nate and Michael cooked up some great dishes! We enjoyed the crab cakes to start with the fish special and a filet. Would return on my next visit! Thanks guys!
