Great food and wonderful service. My husband had fried chicken and I had the pollock special. As it was Friday night, they were extremely busy, but everything ran smoothly. The noise was probably due to busy night and lots of diners. One big room for seating. didnât help

New proprietor and new service in the restaurant at the Kiewit Lodge, Mahoney State Park.We went for dinner on a Saturday night. We were happy to see that they were quite full, considering it's been a while since we had an eating establishment at the lodge.The menu is typical bar food fare; wings, burgers, and sandwiches. Menu is very light on vegetables.Our dinners were well done and the portions were adequate. I felt the appetizers were on the small side considering the prices.My big disappointment was the lack of dinner foods and steaks on the menu. I've been coming here for 20 years (under several different managements) and have never had a lack of steak or other similar dinners on the menus. I would hope this changes. The staff were fairly pleasant, though busy. Overall a very good first impression of the new management.

This was a fun place to have a drink and eat a sandwich on the beach but it has not been open since 2013. I do miss it, was fun and had excellent corn on the cob fresh off the grill.
