Sonny's BBQ of Apopka. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
Average bbq. Can not say too much about it. Pretty standard bbq, nice place, clean, good service and plenty of parking. It is a little crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.

My husband ordered two chicken parmigiana entrees to go.we sat down to eat st home & I opened the container and said why is the spaghetti on top of the chicken? Also, the mozzarella was on top of the spaghetti and none on the chickenThe sauce was awful.,,dark, tasteless and over cooked The chicken was like rubber and tasted like it was deep fried in old oil...very dry and bitterThe spaghetti was a congealed mess with the cheese and it was also mushy not al denteBasically it wS too gross do we threw it out and our money was wasted. Donât go there Iâll never buy anything from them

If you check out my reviews, you will find very few 5's, A restaurant needs to be outstanding for me to give up a 5. This place has Baby Backs that are this best i have ever had, and i have had a lot. The backed beans, slaw, and mac n cheese were all excellent too. NOrmally, it would take outstanding food, atmosphere, and service to get all 5 and even though the service was average and the atmosphere was country the food was that good to overcome. Does that make me a redneck? haha!

Weâve been customers for years and I have to say I havenât found better (especially fried) seafood in Orlando area. The shrimp are huge and butterfly fried. The fish is always fresh. The side veggies and fries are also delish. Ask chef to prepare shrimp or crabs with curry sauce. If you like curry, you will absolutely love this! You may have to wait for a table on busy nites but itâs worth the wait. Worth the drive across town (as many do) but fortunately we live close by. Go visit Ray and Ruth and know that âCod is Goodâ!

Excellent place to stop for late nite snacks. We like their wings so stop when we are in the neighborhood. They also have good fries. The staff is always attentive and with good food, all you need is an alligator for ambience.

Living in Ohio, I rarely get good hushpuppies and they're really good here. I got one of the fried platters with catfish, shrimp, scallops, etc. and all of it was cooked perfectly. My wife got shrimp and grits and was also impressed.I wish I could remember our server's name as she was wonderful. So glad you enjoyed everything! We make our own hushpuppy mix, family recipe. Thanks for taking the time to write a review

We decided to stop here for lunch. The shack was smoking , but i didnt see any wood outside, we ordered the brisket sandwiches and two orders of baked beans with the lunch special . The beans were nothing to write about . The brisket sandwiches were ok the meat was very dry and tuff and hard to chew , for 23.00+ would i give them another try to turnaround and go into again probably not worth the BBQ again sorry!!!

Our first visit to the restaurant was impressive. The decor is that clubby neighborhood bar/restaurant feel. The noise level was controlled; conversation was easy. We had good cocktails to start; they have an interesting cocktail and wine, beer, liquor selection. The Short Rib Eggrolls were 2 large rolls and quite substantial and tasty, almost a meal in itself. My husbandâs huge pork chop was nicely seasoned and grilled (& huge). My salmon was also nicely season and cooked to the medium rare I requested. There is a large choice of sides; we had creamed spinach, sweet potato fries and baked potato. All were very good. Cheesecake for dessert is the classic steakhouse dessert. Iâm glad we decided to try this restaurant which is a little out of the traditional restaurant areas for Magical Dining. We will return and recommend it to friends.
