Stopped in for a quick dinner before a concert at Stanhope House. Ceaser salad was very good...just right mix of dressing and a nice helping...added a little pepper and was very good....got the margarita pizza and it was very good, thin crust, cooked perfectly. A quick perfect meal.

While many restaurants started adding tofu or tempeh or one of the new meat alternatives like Gardein, Beyond Meat, or Field Roast, Salt dropped all but one of their vegetarian dishes.Long gone are the days of ordering âGeneral Tonyâs Tofuâ As well as the other vegetarian and made to order vegan favorites.Whatâs left? Tofu Burger â $10.50which uses potato/starch as its thickening agent (whereâs the tofu? ...the black bean?) with cheddar cheese on a (brioche?) roll, and served with a side of sriracha aioli and hand cut fries. If you love cheese, it is added by the âtwo pound quantityâ in all of the dishes. Try their potato soup, which should be called cheese soup with bacon bits.Times are bad at Salt right now.

I really try and like Salt. I live near by so itâs convenient. I recently went here with my family. I ordered a special, pork osobuco, and my wife had a chicken dish. My kids ordered macaroni with butter. Pretty simple, I thought. My pork special was a very small portion and over cooked. My wifeâs chicken looked like orange mashed potatoes and my kids macaroni....well they cooked the pasta in a frying pan and it was burnt. If I didnât have a gift card I would have been pretty upset. The service was average and the atmosphere is pub like, nothing special. I know that their beer selection is good and at night they have entertainment. Iâll probably not come back for food but maybe some adult beverages.

Do not pass this by. Great place, great food, and folks who love what they're doing run and work this restaurant.Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, and exceptional waitstaff. The menu is varied but focused. Prices are reasonable. There's even a view over the countryside. Plenty of parking.

Not fancy, but great atmosphere and service with a smile. Out side deck has a beautiful view of horses in pasture and large fire pit, inside has a bar or room with many taxidermy animal heads. Delicious and generous portions of steak, lobster or king crab legs served with two dozen clams, baked potato and vegetable . Quick delightful service and pipping hot tasty food. Always a enjoyable and relaxing experience and you wonât go away hungry, even without dessert . Highly recommend !

Been here many times. It is one of our favorites. Make sure you save room for desert because they always have excellent deserts! Service is great. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is in a quick check strip mall. It is great food. They also do takeout, have outdoor dining in the summer. It is also a bring your own place so grab your favorite bottle of wine and bring it with you. I have also used them for catering at our house for a holiday party before as well and the food and service were great.

Off the beaten path for sure, but this place certainly appears to be a local favorite. Busy bar with a limited seating area that overlooks a small lake . We had seafood chowder, French onion soup, chicken pot pie, pasta with scallops, and banana caramel dessert and turtle pie. The chowder was good, although slightly bland which was a theme for the night. Both main courses were good portions and well prepared although neither was spectacular. The highlight was the dessert choices along with the two well prepared cocktails. Friendly staff, owners came around to check on customers and lent a hand where needed which was a nice touch.

Came here the other night with long time friends and their recommendation. The place has a nice ambiance, inside a fireplace would fit in just perfectly. Shockingly we received the bill they took of an entree for being not even 5 minutes late. That was a great gesture and needs to be mentioned, a classy move not to be forgotten. Food and service was great would definitely go back. Keep up the good work!

You have references of Perona on other restaurant reviews which made doing this hard to do. System acts like a Perona review area exists.
This review is really just for the service. Our party of 4 was very unhappy with our visit today. First off, high chair was filthy. When brought to our server, Ruth's, attention she said "Sorry" and walked away. No offer to help get it cleaned up or offer of a clean one. She got drink orders wrong and completely forgot another's drink. Lost count of how many times she said "I'm sorry." Fine, you're sorry, now get your act together and SERVE!! As well, servers in the food area were unfriendly, unwelcoming and unhelpful. When standing in a long line for the prime rib when I was finally the 2nd person in line the prime rib server just left the station. Not a word about where she was going and when she would be back. Finally, the guy serving smoked salmon stepped in. Food was decent but for a "high class" place we all expected better.
