My wife and I travel to Fernandina Beach every year for our anniversary. We have been looking for a new place to have our anniversary dinner since our regular place closed. We have found it in Bob's Steak & Chop House! We went there on 9/9 and had a wonderful dinner! The atmosphere was romantic, the food was incredible and our server Megan was awesome! Megan attended to our every need and even brought us some champagne in honor of our special day. We will be back next year without a doubt.

We stopped by the Marche Burette Deli for breakfast while staying at the OMNI Plantation Resort this past month. Both the food and the service were outstanding. We at inside, as it was already heating up out on the patio, but inside is fun with all the cute stuff they sell in the store. I ordered lox & bagels, and was served a TON of the smoked salmon with my dish. It was wonderful, as was the service. I highly recommend this place...and after you're finished eating, ask them for some bread to use to feed the turtles under the bridge. It is a lot of fun!

We came for dinner and decided to have it at the bar. The bartender, Jessica, was friendly and provided such great service even beyond our drinks and dinner. She assisted us with two small issues we were having with our Villa. This was way more than we would ever expect.Food was awesome! Bread basket is really good. The shrimp cocktail appetizer is a dozen shrimp and theyâre perfectly prepared. Crab-topped grouper was very good. The hour and a half we spent were beyond expectations. We lingered, so the time was not in any way spent waiting. We were just enjoying our first night here.We are happy to have spent a bit of time enjoying great wine and food and Jessica made it a truly special evening.

Great ambience inside and outside. Excellent service. My wife had the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. I had the Pastrami Reuben with house made 1000 Island dressing. Everything was really good...large portions and careful attention to all the small things that make for a memorable meal. Highly recommended.

A great place for Lunch and Dinner overlooking the Amelia River and a sunset view every night!
We stopped in for lunch and found the establishment to be popular and busy. Menu has a good variety and drinks. We sat in the upstairs balcony overlooking the waterfront. Service was friendly and not rushed. Suggestions - go in daylight and sit in upstairs balcony to enjoy the outdoor environment. Go a little early or later in order to avoid the crowd for lunch or dinner.

Our first visit to Amelia island and we were excited to try a new restaurant which had outstanding reviews. Unfortunately it didnât live up to the reviews and our expectations. Service was average, she was unsure of the specials. The appetizer we ordered was suppose to have avocados, after placing the order we were informed there were no avocados. My husband ordered gumbo and it lacked flavor which we found most of the food did. Not sure how this place receive such high ratings. Itâs average at best.

Yâall, this place blew my hair back! Holy cow - I was not prepared for the lucullen feast that unfolded before us. With Brian at the helm, we navigated the menu beginning with the incredible charcuterie board and on to the escargot, which was popping in butter upon its arrival. Without hyperbole, I submit to you that their shepherdâs pie, South is THE BEST shepherdâs pie Iâve ever had. We will be returning & I will be having it again. And if possible, we would love to be wined & dined by Brian. He was quite the sommelier! Also of note, you must order their bananas foster cheesecake; itâs too delicious to not be experienced. A solid 5 stars! Naturally, the brightest of these stars is Brian. Bravo, sir!

Fantastic casual dining with unique seasonal menu. Locals recommended this restaurant! Chef was previously at Ritz Carlton and is excellent. Restaurant is in a historic area of the city in a home remodeled for restaurant purposes. Service was excellent and timely. Food was savory and unique. We had charred octopus for appetizer which was excellent, even my Spanish friend who borders on octopus expert really enjoyed it. The snapper was awesome! We will definitely be back next time in Fernandina!

Salt takes simple elements from the earth and sea, properly seasons, artfully prepares and serves them in a contemporary coastal setting. Seasonal menus are created by Chef de Cuisine Richard Laughlin and showcase brilliantly-flavorful food.
We had such high expectations, we dined with friends that have been going there for 14 years who enthusiastically recommend Salt to everyone. In fact there was bride looking at the property for an 10/2020 wedding to whom my friends so raved about the Ritz that I am sure he sealed the deal for the property.First, we were seated near the guitarist, who was not that loud, but I could not hear the waiter describe the specials from the other side of the table. I got his attention and he was totally dismissive of my inability to hear him. This was noticed by others in our party of six. Some of out party were given menus that showed dishes (Sea Bass) that were not offered that night, really? Then when three of our diners wanted halibut we were told that they were out. So you couldn't tell us that it was 86'd when you handed us the menu or even when you came back to take the order...I guess you were hoping that we wouldn't order it?Overall the food was good, but the waiter mixed up our steak orders, across the table received my medium steak and I ended up with her rare. We realized this way too late. This is really all I can remember and really why pile it on further, but there was enough that the restaurant manager, Phil, came out to our table and asked if we wanted the waiter fired? How about the cook? He was quite glib. You would think if the manager was at our table things would smooth out? Not a chance. At Salt if you would like a souflee for dessert you request it when you order your entree. Fair enough, we ordered two and received only one.Tea, coffee how about an after dinner drink? Our waiter was MIA since were offered none of these. Funny enough, one person in our party mentioned that she likes espresso martinis when Phil was at our table and lo and behold one was placed in front of her. What about the rest of the table???None of us are complainers, Phil did comp a decent part of the check, although they really should have ripped it up and invited us back for a do over.Mistakes happen and sometimes you get that table that no matter how you try you just can't get it right. I worked food service, I get it. However, how you fix it is everything.Thank you for staying with us and providing your detailed feedback on your experience in Salt. We have shared it with our Food and Beverage management team and have taken it positively and constructively. It is our desire that every guest departs our resort with unique and personal memories, and that they return in the future. We thank you for being our guest and we would like to ensure you have a great visit on your next stay.
