Good, honest food. Had a breakfast business meeting here, and I came in with low expectations for the meal. But these guys do breakfast right. Simple, honest meals prepared the way grandma used to make them. Local people love this place, and rightly so. Conversation at neighboring tables was all about crop prices and farm equipment, so you can feel certain you're getting the authentic deal. Snap a photo while you're here; this is what diners were like before they went retro.

For appetizers we had the french fires with Parmesan cheese and the white cheddar ball (breaded and deep fried) - both were large portion and excellentMy wife had the prime rib and I the BBQ ribs - again both large portion and excellentvery good service

We stopped on way through town. Nice service, clean, wide variety on menu but everything we ordered seemed to come from a previous frozen packaged type. Pork tenderloin from a package as an example. Middle of the greatest pork producing area of the world...and you get a frozen prepackaged one. French fries frin a package...Come on guys...you can do better. I know it's easier but the quality just not there to impress me. The place has a great location, love the windows over river, people nice, but lose the freezer and make fresh.

Sports bar & grill came with a generally good recommendation. Service was very friendly and engaging. Food quality was good, but nothing over the top. Basic iceberg salad, decent steak and good baked potato. Neighboring guest was repeatedly foul-mouthed and loud (clearly a regular), so would not necessarily recommend the bar side if dining with young children. Menu was extensive (and posted on the web). Atmosphere features sports memorabilia. May dine here again when returning.

Service is quick. Place was clean. Had value card so price was great. Chicken seems to be getting smaller. Presently have good $5 lunches. Will eat here again unless the chicken starts getting too small.
