The wait person is very helpful and communicative. We have ordered 2 sweet toast - Rosti I Shtepise (jam and honey toast) and Ngjyra (black chocolate chips banana and peanut butter toast). They are freshly made and very nice. Coffee is strong. Decor is nice with good background music.

We choose Illyria for Tripadvisor's recommandation and it was great expirience! Everything was great - view over river and Rozafa, great local food with very kind stuff! Special thing is decoration of whole place! No reservation, plenty of seats.

What an amazing experience!! My partner and I found this restaurant after researching great food in Shkoder, Albania. Here, we got exactly that and more! All traditional Albanian food which tasted so fresh, the restaurant was decorated in hand-made jewellery, garments and traditional clothing which was very warming and inviting. Better yet, all for a great cause! We learnt that Arti'Zanave is connected to Albania's Woman centres who focus on helping less fortunate woman. The hand-made trinkets were made to help raise funds and were served by woman from the centre so they also help with working experience/jobs. A must see, so glad we were able to spend time here and learn about how amazing this organisation/restaurant is.

Really tasty and freshly-grilled local Albanian meat! You can't resist the nice smell, even if you're not hungry. I'm actually not a meat fan, and mostly don't risk to order smth new for me, but I really enjoyed my meal! Prices - pfff, cheap :)

A week into my travels around Albania and I can honestly state that this is the best food I've eaten in this country. Sure, it's nothing flash or fancy, it's simply good and honest food. I had goulash, grilled vegetables and a Greek salad and all three dishes were superb and hit the target. The price was ridiculously low for a meal of this quality so it was absolutely value for money. The service was genuine, friendly and faultless. I'm a lucky man as I'll be in Shkodra again soon so can eat here again. If in town I suggest you give this place a visit... you won't be disappointed.

Upstairs at Vila Bekteshi is a wonderful outdoor eating environment. Overall the food is good, the shrimp tagliatelle was fine, the fillet with wine and ham was OK, while the 'sea fruit' salad was outstanding. The homemade/house red was very drinkable and everything was well priced. My only issue was the number of kids running around the restaurant, but then I guess it's family friendly:-)

I seldom write scathing reviews of restaurants, but this one was truly awful. Don't believe the good reviews - they are probably fake. I ordered grilled seafood (recommended as daily special), which was just very sad, and very expensive. The pickled vegetables salad was OK. My friend's pasta was something we could have made better by ourselves. The service was good and location was attractive..The food was poor, especially given the price. Don't eat here.

Completely understand why this place is at the top of the list. It exceeded all of my expectations. To start, it was very aesthetically pleasing. The layout and design was the perfect mixture of comfort and elegance. The food was unbelievably good. Me and my family order a number of different dishes and not one of them disappointed. The lamb and veal were excellent. The cheese platter was also great. Everything on the menu sounded so appetizing and I canât imagine that any plate wouldnât meet any expectations. I seriously recommend this restaurant for any type of craving!
