We make you feel at home. A quaint restaurant serving delicious food at great value.
We ate at this nice restaurant during our stay in Swellendam. Alan was a great host, gave us a bunch of useful tips about Swellendam. The food was excellent. Steak was cooked just right, very flavorful. Lamb curry was also excellent. We had a wonderful desert and a nice bottle of wine. All together a nice dining experience for a reasonable price.Thank you for your great review and for taking the time to write it. Hope you return one day soon.RegardsAlan

As we understood, this wonderful cosy and stylish restaurant, part of De Kloof Luxury Estate, is already in it's third season. 18ZeroOne is for us a hidden gem in Swellendam. We enjoyed a wonderful a la carte dinner (4 choices for starter, main and desert) with several highlights. The place was intimate, with candle light and a fire place. As a starter we had the trio of South Africa: ostrich and springbok carpaccio with a shot of biltong soup, a mouthwatering experience.Main: a seared salmon with local Masala spices and fresh green asparagus. To top this we chose the strawberry cheesecake which a selection of local Swellendam berries and a young berries liquor, a speciality of this area. The restaurant has a good selection of award winning wines from the local Robertson wine valley.A wonderful evening, nice staff and we were informed that they will introduce food & wine pairing events shortly. Something to definitely look forward to.Thank you very much for a wonderful dining experience. We will be back!

Craft Gin, Craft Beer, Coffee, Kids Play Area & Wine. Proudly South African influence on burgers, sandwiches, salads, steaks & casseroles. A family restaurant for one and all.
What was intended to be a relaxing, romantic dinner with my wife turned out to be exactly the opposite. We arrived at 18:00 for dinner after a long road trip, and looking forward to a nice meal together. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, although it looked like they were prepared to receive a large group of people, in all probability for gin-tasting. We brought our own botlle of wine to enjoy, and after being offered a table for two I was asked if I wanted glasses for the wine. I thought it a rather odd question to ask as we obviously wanted to have some wine. The waitress then left to presumably fetch two glasses. Fifteen minutes later, I decided to get up and fetch two glasses from the bar area myself. Fifty minutes later we still hadn't been offered any form of service from the paper menu that was initially placed on our table. My wife and I then decided to rather leave the restaurant due to no service being offered. Prior to exiting the restaurant, we saw the waitress at the till with what we presumed the manager on duty. I shared my dissatisfaction with the poor service we received and all I got in return was 'jammer meneer'. It boils down to poor management of a public restaurant and I certainly wouldn't visit there in a hurry again. The positive outcome was a fantastic meal at Woodpeckers Restaurant which I can strongly recommend. Excellent food and friendly, efficient service.
Family style restaurant with GREAT food at affordable prices. Kids menu & play corner. Deck for outside seating & a small dance floor for dine & dance evenings! Service with a smile. Not licensed YET so you are welcome to bring your own alcohol, we have m
By now I think I know most of Swellendamâs restaurants, diners and coffeeshops, but had never been to Elnitsaâs Family Restaurant in the Carlton Mall, just off the main road in Swellendam. A mall by the way with lovely creative shops, all worthwhile a visit. While listening to the golden oldies of the 80s I thoroughly enjoyed my freshly made pasta Al Fredo, creamy and very flavourful. The staff was very friendly and very attentative. Definitely recommend this hidden gem for lunch.
