Due to the purpose of my stay in Malawi, initially we had been advised/ recommended the restaurant at the sunbird hotel in Lilongwe, so thatâs what we did, until a meeting and confusion about the location of the meeting brought us to The Lilongwe Wildlife Trust (LWT).We happened to find Fusion Cafe a hidden little gem! The settings and atmosphere is brilliant and the friendly staff canât do enough to help you. There is the option to stay however we have primarily only been there for the food and good coffee. If you find yourself in Malawi and indeed Lilongwe get yourself in to Fusion itâs good selection is good and all prepared fresh. It also acts as a welcome reprieve from the busyness of Lilongwe. There is ample parking and if you have the time take a stroll around LWT as itâs mini wildlife park is interesting and and insight into the amazing biodiversity Malawi has to offer and is working to protect.

Sana Food Courts hosts 5 Restaurants offering a wide range of foods including: Dairy, Indo Chinese, Flame Grilled. Also a cafe with a Children's Play Park!
I have had lunch here on couple of occasions as this is close to the place of my work. The best thing about Sana food court is a wide variety of cuisines and vast parking place. However, the quality of food varies and fluctuates. I had to suffer upset tummy on two occasions may be due to the poor quality oil or other ingredients they might be using. I have been avoiding this place, of late.
A tranquil location in the heart of the city. A self-sustainable and affordable restaurant & event venue that uses a holistic and resource-sustainable permaculture design. We offer garden-to-fork fresh food and fresh juices.
I love this place. Joe, the owner, is a beautiful human with humanitarian beliefs and a wonderful sensibility. Free Sunday morning yoga at 9, and then a yummy breakfast and conversation with everyone there is a Lilongwe must do!! Plus, Nadia thé café kitty will charm herself into your visit. Unforgettable and fantastic. Thank you so much.

Location: In the heart of city centre, opposite Spar, this place is always bustling with dine-in and take out options both equally popular. You can call ahead and pick up, or park sit. The garden is all plastic sturdy chairs and mismatched parasols, but there is definitely something endearing about it. And you're bound to run into someone you know. Popular for Malawi and Ex-pat professionals around lunch. Service: You'll line up to order your food at the cashier, with hand-drawn specials and a standard menu. You'll get a little yellow numbers flag and the food will find it's way to you. It's very efficient and down-to-business, but not abrupt. A hard line to walk. Food: It's a step up from the local braai, with usual goat, chicken and beef curry, salads, wraps and soft drinks. The drinks are always cold and the portions are ridiculously big. You certainly get your monies worth. Flavours is an institution. The price kept low and the quality is predictable. You're not gonna get fine dining, but as far as cheap eats go, you can't get better.

My wife and I had dinner at Vincentâs, one of the few restaurants in Lilongwe for fine dinning. The welcome was warm and professional and the ambiance relaxing. The mushroom soup I had for starters was superb and went very well with warm bread rolls. The spicy grilled fish I had for my main course was nicely done and combined well with the steamed veggies and mashed potatoes, and the dessert was equally delicious. The staff were all very courteous, helpful and professional. We were not disappointed with our evening out at the Vincentâs.
