Lovely family run restaurant with a series of Ethiopian dishes and Italian Dishes on sundays they have a full Ethiopian buffet
Husband and I are big fans of Ethiopian food. Discovered this place on TA, think it's a regeneration of Trevi Fontana that used to be in Avondale and did a Sunday buffet, so we went along on the off-chance and got lucky. Meat options doro wot (chicken with boiled egg in spicy sauce) and lamb in spicy sauce, three different spicy lentil dishes, plus injera (traditional rice pancakes), rolls, salad, homemade curd cheese plus a few options for those not such fans of spicy grub. Meat buffet $20, vegetarian buffet $12 includes authentic Ethiopian coffee. Attentive service, friendly family-run place, good value, very clean, thumbs up.
It is a good place for events with a well spaced out seating place. Very good food available and reasonably stocked bar.

Queen Makeda offers exquisite traditional Ethiopian cuisine. Come and enjoy the warmth of Ethiopian hospitality in a beautifully decorated home. Perfect for both winter and summer weather. Booking in advanced is recommended !! We are now doing takeaways !
This little hidden gem is amazing. Dont be discouraged by walking into a space that doesn't strike you as typical restaurant - because it really IS like home away from home. The owner lady is an amazing cook and a gracious host. Nothing is better than a home cooked meal!!Thank you for your awesome review Stella !!! Looking forward to seeing you again soon Mao!!

I ordered the sadza rezviyo it was gritty i dont think the zviyo was prepared well. it may not have been sorted well before grinding i couldn't even eat it. the fish dish i ordered was cooked well. the atmosphere is good and so is the service. they should consider adding things like mahewu to the menu since its African restaurant.
