We really enjoyed this local coffee shop. We had good coffee, sandwiches, and croissants. Everything is made freshly and to order.

The Trailhead Cafe is all about relationships-beginning with the producers of our food to you. Welcome to a warm, friendly place where relationships are built and true community can be experienced in an inviting atmosphere. We strive to have a first-hand relationship with everyone we serve or support. Beginning with the local farmers who raise our beef, we make a conscious effort to form connections with the people who grow and raise our food. We are making a difference on a global scale by serving direct relational trade coffee, and we know the farmers who grow it.
Excellent dishes in a brand new building and location with breathtaking views of Longs Peak. They now are south of Mountain Ave, just a few hundred yards east of the 287 intersection.
The food is fresh, local sourced as able, and prepared perfectly. Its hard to choose, all the dishes are so good and appealing! Open for breakfast & lunch, wish they were open for dinner/evening hours.
The prices are Excellent, very low cost for the high quality meals!! It is a not-for-profit operation with proceeds benefiting the associated church which is a pretty neat concept -- we eat a healthy meal, they buy more local goods and do other good things for the community. A great circle!

It was really not that long ago that A&W Root Beer stands and drive-ins were common throughout the USA, and a visit to this A&W Restaurant in the small town of Berthoud, Colorado brings back good memories of days gone by.
We stopped in one weekend evening for ice cream and of course for an iconic A&W Root Beer float. By ordering "for here" instead of "to go" our root beer float was served in an old-fashioned frosted thick glass mug. The car hop brought the floats and treats to our car, and we rolled down our window to secure the food tray to our car window. Once finished, we pushed the button for tray pick up and our car hop came out quickly.
Oh yes, the root beer float was delicious, although a bit sweeter than I remember in my youth, but I have to be honest that it has been more years than I can recall since I enjoyed a root beer float. Soft serve ice cream was good.
The restaurant menu features typical burgers, fries, floats, sodas, ice cream drinks and cones, and fried appetizers. Service was fast and friendly.
Bottom line: We will surely stop back by this A&W Restaurant next time we're in the area. I want to try the Papa Burger next time; this burger has been on the A&W menu for as long as I can remember.

Mi Cocina is conveniently located in downtown Berthoud, CO, and we stopped in one weekday for a late lunch. Although parking is limited downtown, we easily found a spot across the street since we were in between peak meal times in the area.
The ambience is rustic and historic; the restaurant itself resides in the former home of the first physician family in Berthoud. Service was average, but the food was fresh and actually quite flavorful.
We enjoyed two Mi Cocina Combo plates so we could try various entree items. All food was served fresh and was quite flavorful. Since we enjoy very spicy Mexican food, we inquired as to which enchilada sauce was the hottest, and so we ordered the green chili sauce, which was actually zesty and delicious. A sample of the red sauce turned out to be more a mild tomato-based flavor versus red chili, so we were glad we ordered the green chili. Chips and salsa appetizer were yummy, even though salsa was mild. Tacos were crunchy and nicely seasoned, and tostadas were also fresh and piled high with meat, lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese. Refried beans and rice came with each plate.
Bottom line: We will surely dine at Mi Cocina again when we are in Berthoud, CO.

It is wonderful to have this new addition to Berthoud. It is a cozy spot, family owned and operated. Their sourdough bread is fantastic, as are their pastries. You can eat there or take treats home with you. In addition to pastries and bread, they offer breakfast and lunch sandwiches. We really like their pastries, and their cinnamon rolls.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as are the staff. This is really a local gem, and I hope that everyone will give them a try.

this is a very popular place with locals, especially in the summer because they have a large outdoor patio and they do have bands that play there at night. we only go there for the fish frys because the place is actually very rundown, outdated and grungy. however the staff is as attentive as they can be when they're very busy. it is obvious that they pay more attention to the people that they see regularly which is understandable. the fish fry is very good it's a little expensive but you get really large portions of fish.

We where pleasantly surprised with this new Berthoud restaurant. Waitress was sweet, the veggie pizza, side salad and hot wings where great. Loved the new bar and of course happy they had bandit brown City Star brew on tap. Music was perfect for back ground atmosphere.

Always a good place to stop in for a quick meal. Their subs are always made fresh and with fresh ingredients. They offer many options and this location always seems to have friendly service as well. I am always greeted with a smile and they are willing to do anything to make my sandwich the way I want it. Subways are a dime a dozen, but the good service at this location will keep me coming back here.
